I have placed three sets of rotors on my 2004 dodge 1500 ram quad cab in 65,000 miles. first set warped at about 18,000 miles, the dealership turned them and charged me $90.00. they in turn warped again at about 23,000 miles. replaced them with waggner high performance rotors at about $110.00 a piece. the rotors and pads lasted about 35,000 and the rotors were so warped, they couldn't be turned. dealership is absolutly no help what so ever. they deny even having a problem. i told the service writer type in dodge brake problems and you'll get more than your share of info. he said he couldn't find anything. i've been driving chrysler products for over 40 years... this lemon has ended all that.

2004 ram 1500 hemi sport qc had terrible shimmy in front end upon stopping and truck was hard to control. dealer stated rotors were warped and turned them. this was at 9500 miles. again at 15000 miles truck is doing same thing. dealer said they would turn them again but that was all. said they could turn them as many times as they wanted. said they turned them but the wheels haven't been removed from truck. dealer or dodge unwilling to fix problem even though both admit there is a problem. back rotor is warped and has bad groves in it. feel i am getting bum deal on 36000 dollar truck.

I have a 2004 dodge ram 1500 quad cab hemi, at 10,000 miles lots of steering wheel vibration while breaking. took it into the dealer and left it with them just to get a call back telling me to come get it. they told me that there wasn't anything wrong with it just that is was from condensation (lol). the at 14,000 miles called them and took it back in and we got the same story. then we went through the same thing 2 more times and then at 30,000 miles we took it back in there and they said that there was problems with it and that i would need a whole break job but that they wouldn't fix it under warranty because my warranty wasn't good any longer. well our inspection was up and it wouldn't pass with the break problems so lots of $$ we had to put into it. i don't understand it you can spend top dollars for a truck and they really want your business but when something goes wrong with it they don't want to know nothing or fix it. the dealer ship isn't very nice and loves to fight with people. needless to say that this is a lease and i will be turning it in when my lease is up and they can have all the problems. i will go some where else for sure. *nm

Component: service brakes, hydraulic:foundation components:disc:rotor details: 2004 dodge ram 1500 quad cab hemi. at 10,000 miles lots of steering wheel shudder while braking. many with same complaints. had same problem with previous chrysler product and brake repair stated the rotors are built to minimum tolerances. this is why the rotors warp. i see people are getting charged to fix this obvious manufacturers defect. also, in emergency situations could be life threatening. *nm
