In an emergancy situation i have hit the brakes hard! i hear a click or snap and it feels like the brakes are wet or they oil on them, it just keeps going i have gone off the road on the shoulder and also into the ditch a couple of times to avoid the vehicle in front of me. i pull a 5th wheel often so far it hasn't happened when i have had the tlr....but i am afraid that if it i am pulling the 5th wheel and it happens somebody may be injured or even worse killed, i am very concerned..*ak

I have a long history of reporting serious major safety component problems and failures to chrysler on both of my vehicles. my vehicles have been in three accidents resulting from failed safety components. each time after the accident, the dealer was able to find the problem and correct it. however, this has never happened before the accident. in the case of the brake line failure it involves every 1195 br2500 hd pickup truck. chrysler found and corrected the problem at some point because the replacement part is designed to reduce the bends which cause the line to rub against the wheel rim on turns. i have experienced thousands of dollars in damages that were caused by chrysler. how do i get my money back?

Whenever the brakes are applied, the rear brakes lock up. when tapping brakes a few times, brakes lock up. if letting up off brakes, would work fine. it only happens intermittently. will be taking vehicle to dealer. *ak
When the brakes are applied the rear brakes do not stop, causing the front brakes to do all of the work to stop the vehicle, resulting in extended stopping distance. the dealer has replaced the rear wheel cylinders. *ak

Abs braking system intermittently fails witn a hard pedal, braking reduction is dropped by 75%. the only way to stop it is to downshift and apply light pressure on the brake pedal. prior to the failure the abs/brake warning lights come on. *ak
When applying the abs brakes, the pedal goes to the floor and brakes failed to stop the vehicle. cause unknown. *ak

My pickup truck is equipped with diesel engine. the engine driven vacuum pump allowed engine oil into the vacuum hoses due to the absence of an internal check valve. the oil did cause the hose to deteriorate and partially collapse, reducing the vacuum supply to the brake booster. chrysler stated that my pu was not covered by this problem although i had repeated brake failures until the vaccum hose was replaced and a check valve installed. i've not experienced brake failure since the vaccum hose was replaced and the check valve installed.

I was leaving the parking lot to the stop sign and i applied the brakes and my vehicle continued rolling even when i applied more pressure until it stopped in the middle of the intersection. i was not hit but close. i pulled over to the side of the street and brakes seem to be working again. i took it straight to a wheel and brake shop very close to where this happen and they check the system and told me what had cause this problem was the vacuum hose from the vacuum pump to the brake booster was collapsing so i had them replace it. i went to your web site and found a recall #nhtsa 97v068000 for this problem so i called daimlerchrysler and they told me that this recall did not include my vehicle and they would not take care of this problem. i don't understand why it should not cover all the vehicle's with this problem. *jb
