 Consumer received nhtsa recall 01v037000/manufacturer's recall 970 5 months ago and called dealership for an appointment. consumer kept calling dealer about parts, and dealer stated parts were not in. they could not get the parts.*ak consumer states that all 4 failures occurred while accelerating to get onto the highway, on three occasions the consumer had to turn off the ignition to correct the problem, consumer still has not received recall repairs. *slc

 Dt: contact stated he had a fuel leak. he also checked the vehicle and found that the throttle cable was breaking, 6 out of 7 strands were broken. there is no recall on this vehicle. the vehicle is parked at this time. repairs have been made to the vehicle. *nm updated 11/7/2005. while searching for a new throttle cable the consumer discovered that the cable in his vehicle was of the type involved in a recall. the consumer's vehicle was not included in the recall due to vin. *nm

 Accelerator cable broke under normal use. *et

 Consumer stepped on throttle and it became stuck, consumer had to shut off ignition in order to stop car. the strands on cable became unraveled at cable housing, causing throttle to stick wide open. throttle cable and linkage were replaced by dodge dealer at my expense. new cable and linkage are of a different/improved design. *ak *ml
