Our 2004 dodge ram 2500 spontaneously caught on fire last night while parked in the driveway. we had not driven it for two days, the keys were not in the ignition, no one was near it...it just went up in flames. my husband could not put the fire out so we called 911 and the fire department finally got the fire put out. the truck is totaled, just a charred metal frame at this point. had the vehicle been parked in the garage, we would be dead. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2004 dodge 2500 pickup. while driving 30 mph the vehicle accelerated on its own. the check engine light came on. the contact was able to maintain control of the vehicle. the failure occurred 3-4 times before the contact was able to park the vehicle. the dealer/manufacturer diagnosed the vehicle as needing a new throttle control sensor. the contact replaced the throttle control sensor. the current and failure mileage were 75000. *ak updated 05/12/08 *bf
