Please be advised that we have had a peculiar & occasional acceleration problem with our 2005 dodge caravan with 63,000 miles, we were unable to accelerate on several occasions such as trying to pass in traffic, and/or trying to start up from a stop at a traffic light. the throttle felt blocked and the foot pedal would not move until stomped on several times. this failure to accelerate could cause a head on collision when trying to pass another vehicle, or a rear end collision when trying to start moving from a stop. the servicing dealer, lithia dodge & chrysler in santa rosa, ca reported that they found heavy combustion deposits on the inside of the throttle body they believed could block the throttle plate from moving properly. they cleaned the throttle body and we have operated without a problem for about 2 months. this problem was reported to chrysler service and they suggested we also report the problem to nhtsa. please be advised that we have had a peculiar & occasional acceleration problem with our 2005 dodge caravan with 63000 miles, we were unable to accelerate on several occasions such as trying to pass in traffic, and/or trying to start up from a stop at a traffic light. the throttle felt blocked and the foot pedal would not move until stomped on several times. this failure to accelerate could cause a head on collision when trying to pass another vehicle, or a rear end collision when trying to start moving from a stop. the servicing dealer, lithia dodge & chrysler in santa rosa, ca reported that they found heavy combustion deposits on the inside of the throttle body they believed could block the throttle plate from moving properly. they cleaned the throttle body and we have operated without a problem for about 2 months. this problem was reported to chrysler service and they suggested we also report the problem to nhtsa. *tr | |||
