| Sliding power doors and locks not working on 2006 dodge caravan. power door drive mechanism causes door to become heavy or impossible to operate manually. doors will work electronically as normal. door lock actuator not working. will not lock with key fob or door switch must be operated manually. will not lock automatically at 15 mph with other doors. dealer replaced door motors 2 times. door lock mechanism not replaced yet. defective opener motors not allowing manual use could cause entrapment. door lock not activating automatically could also pose entrapment risk . *tr | |||

| Have had '06 grand sxt to dealer twice about sliding doors on both pass/drive side. in trying to close door using either push button/remote/visor button door will clunk and door motor runs for 2~3 seconds and door does not move. dealer has replaced door motors twice... i think this is becoming close to being a lemon ! that was one of the buying points of this model was electric doors :((((( been very dissatisfied thus far. *tr | |||

| On my 2006 dodge caravan, the side power door locks do not work. i have spoken to other owners and they have had the same problem. the problem happens after the warranty period expires. the locks operate occasionally..sometimes they would work, and sometimes not. i realized it wasn't working when my child tried to open the door before we left the driveway, and all the doors should have been locked. this is a potential serious safety issue. *tr | |||

| My wife was at the gas station she opened the drivers side automatic sliding door to get her purse out and after she retrieved her purse she pushed the close button on the door, and then opened the gas filler door and removed the gas cap as the sliding door was closing. the door stopped and automatically reopened, crashing into the gas filler door and crushing the gas cap along the side of the van , leaving it dented. i was able to replicate the issue. luckily , her hand didn't get crushed, and she didn't have gas pumping yet. *ak | |||
