| There is a spring that is located in the steering wheel assembly that controls the airbag. i believe they call this a check spring. it has stopped working and resulted in the following: a) the air bag indicator light stays on. this means that the airbag system in my vehicle is not working at all. b) the horn system is connected to this system and it now does not work. the chrysler dealer says that the part has a lifetime warranty for vehicles made in the year 1998, but vehicles made after this date are not covered. it is my belief that this should be covered since the design of the airbag system affects another safety apparatus, the horn. i can not caution or alert a pedestrian or an other motorist and i have had occasion where i wanted to in a recent trip to columbus, ga. i would like to have this looked into at your earliest convenience. if you can assist me in getting this repaired i would very much appreciate that, especially if there is no cost to me.*ak | |||
