EXTERIOR LIGHTING

I was on my way to work tuesday morning and my headlights, foglights & dashboard lights kept flickering off & on even when the knob was turned off. i called dodge to see if there was a recall i was told that it wasn't. however, after reading the blogs & reviews this appears to be an ongoing problem with the same year, make & model that i have. *tr

About 1 year ago as i was driving along interstate 95 the instrument needles all went to 0 or far left then went back to normal immediately. as time went on this occurred more frequently. about six months later as i was driving at night the needles dropped off and the head lights went off and stayed off until i switched from the auto position to the manual on position. the next time it happened i was at a stop light and the car cut off in the middle of the road. i called a police officer because i thought i might get rear-ended. after about 5 minutes the car started but ran rough. just this past weekend while driving at night in a parking lot the needles dropped off, the headlights went out, and the breaks malfunctioned.

While driving approximately 60 m.p.h. on the freeway, all engine lights came on and the needles all dropped. they quickly returned to normal and the engine did not falter, radio did not go off, etc. this has happened several times over the course of 2 months and i took it to the station where they could find nothing wrong. about 2 months later, the headlights began to flicker on and off, sometimes for 10 seconds or more. this has been happening for about 4 days. i checked all the fuses and they appear secure. the car is currently back at the station to be checked again. as it is december, i can't be without headlights on my morning and evening commute to/from work.

I have taken my car to the dealership 5 times to have issues fixed. each time i got the car back, it was worse. i had 13 issues originally with the car. i ended up suing, and got a very small settlement- dodge refused to cooperate. i still have each and every problem, and do not know what else to do. my car dies while in reverse, the brakes malfunction constantly, the window panel remains broken due to their inept work, the radio cuts off, the dash lights die @ night, etc. i would truly appreciate it if someone could actually help me. i do not know what else to do. i love my car dearly, but something needs to be done. the date i put as date of incident is when this all started. *tr
EXTERIOR LIGHTING - BRAKE LIGHTS

Brake lights first went out on 09/08/2006 under normal driving conditions on our 2006 dodge charger r/t. dealership has fixed the problem on four separate times. on 06/03/2007 brake lights went out again and dealership once again attempted to fix the problem. when we got home with the vehicle, the brake lights were already out again. the dealership refuses to try and fix the problem, saying dodge/daimler chrysler needs to step in and replace the car. as of 07/10/2007 our dodge charger r/t sits in our driveway unable to drive the car while we get the run around from the dealership and from dodge/daimler chrysler. the dealership said they found the following problems with the brake lights; blown fuse, kink in the wiring, brake light switch module, right brake light assembly and 3rd brake light was arching. the repaired or replaced parts are not available. *tr

I am about to file a lemon law complaint because dodge has been unable to duplicate the most serious problems that have plagued my vehicle, a 2006 dodge charger r/t, since day four of my ownership. i have owned this car for 68 days and of those, i have only been able to drive the functioning car for 19 days. they have fixed a number of minor issues and notified me that they would be unable to fix or do not know how to fix at this time, some minor issues including the air conditioning compressor problems (which they say they have also been unable to duplicate. the serious issues that are occurring when it idles, when it accelerates and with what seems to be the suspension and possibly both the engine and transmission. of those 68 days, they have come to pick up my car on three different occasions to try and fix it, the last time (which continues currently) they have had my car for four weeks. i happen to know (upon researching after the prolonged period they have had the car) that tsb's or technical service bulletins have been issued for every problem that is occurring with my car. additionally, i have taken my car to two different mechanics (one dodge dealership and one independent mechanic) that have witnessed these malfunctions. i would like to know what my options are legally for getting some kind of resolution. *jb
