| There was no sign that there was any problems with my car. i got in the vehicle, started the ignition, and was not able to shift the gear from park to reverse. i had a local towing company come and pick up the car, and they took it to a local mechanic. the tower said there's been recalls on the column shifter for the dodge chargers. after the mechanic looked at the car, he said that yes it was the column shifter and it would need to be replaced. it will cost $380.35 to have it all replaced. since i didn't do anything to damage the car, and there's a recall on the particular item that is being replaced i don't see why i shouldn't be able to have some form of reimbursement sent to me. | |||

| Driverside window mechanism causes scratches on window. manufacturer stated not a defect. vehicle has 36,000, out of warranty. vehicle is taken care of, not abused. chysler should fix the problem. | |||

| I was using the scissor jack on my 2007 dodge charger to place my car on jack stands in order to change the oil. as i was removing the jack stands, the scissor jack failed while the car was raised far enough to remove the jack stand. had i not use jack stands i certainly would have been crushed. i know that many folks do no employ jack stands while working on their cars and this equipment defect certainly has the potential to kill somebody.*tr | |||

| My vehicles engine light was on while i was taking it to get inspected. aaa ran a test to find out as to why the engine light was on. the diagnostics should a problem with the plenum, air intake valve and the car needed a reflash or update in the cars computer. i took the vehicle down to a dodge dealership and found out that the plenum is a common fail part and is a dealer only part and cost 969.00 to replace. after having the reflash done on my vehicle and finding out about the plenum i returned to aaa to find out if they could fix the problem cheaper. they then checked the recall list to see if their were any recalls. the recalls for my vehicle were for the cars computer system , the interlock mechanism for the clutch, and the radiator fan. after finding out about the reflash being on recall i called the dealership in an attempt to get my money back and was told recalls are vin specific, even though distributed by regular mechanics. after fixing the engine light problem and getting my car inspected, 3 days later the interlock mechanism broke and would not allow me to move the clutch to put car in gear. i took it to the dealership again and paid for a diagnostics and was told the problems i am having are all listed in the recalls but they can not fix due to recalls being vin specific. i paid 478.00 for interlock to be fixed. i have two more items on my vehicle listed for recall and i now keep getting a lightning bolt warning sign on my dash when my vehicle is idle. i have paid for 2 out of 4 recalls that should have been taken care of by the dealership but were nt due to them being vin specific even though everything matches up whats wrong with my vehicle and what is being recalled. | |||

| Dodge charger is leaking pink anti freeze from compartment. i have been told that this occurs frequently cand can result in engine failure. the whole part has to be replaced inorder to resolve issue. | |||

| Tl*the contact owns a 2007 dodge charger. the contact stated that the air conditioning system does not blow cool air. the vehicle has been taken to the dealer nine times for this failure and they installed a new compressor and made some other repairs, but the failure still persists. the current mileage was 32,000 and failure mileage was 22,000. updated 09/24/08 *bf the consumer also stated there was a problem with the transmission. updated 09/26/08. *jb | |||

| This has been an on going problem with my car since i bought it january 2008 i have all paper work on the car. this month alone february 20, 2009 it has been in the shop three times already. it has been in the shop for tire rims, key not working, engine light coming on all the time, stereo, speakers, had another light come on and i had to tow it myself. this is a 2007 dodge charger v6. i need some help on what to do, i drive my children and grand children in this car and i'm scared that i will be stranded some place, you don't know if the car is going to act up or not each day i pay alot of money to have and drive this car and i do not feel safe. *tr | |||
