| I was leaving work, and entering i-285 off exit ramp, i saw a vehicle that was stopped ahead of me approx. a quarter of a mile up ahead of me, so i began to apply brakes to prepare to stop ahead...and i realized that my brake pedal would not move or give in to even apply pressure to brake. i was going approx. 45 to 50mph...and i crashed and rear ended a car full force without any brakes at all. both airbags deployed...it was awful and the scariest thing that i have ever experienced. it resulted in a 4 car accident. i suffered a broken ankle in two places, torn foot ligaments, and burns from airbags. i am angry, because i found out about several recalls that are out with my cat that i was unaware of. i have had my car serviced with dodge on three different occassions prior to this happening within the past 6/7 months. something will be done about this...i could have died!!!!! *tr | |||

| Approaching traffic light transitioning from yellow to red, car is coasting at 20mph, proceeded to stop foot on the brake the brake was solid as the concrete pavement, the steering wheel could not move. the car did not stop proceeded forward hitting the car in front which was a fender bender, however total loss of a purchased brand new dodge charger which had gone to the service center every week after purchasing for a reset of the computer system jumping skipping stopping, however un - final answers it was always communicated the car was fine and good to go. as a result of the accident the ruling was not against me as a driver, however, an attorney who specilized in manufactured defects was a communication after several attorneys listened to the case but did not take on the representation. also as a result now 3 years later, $35,000 back surgery, continued medical bills, perm disabl permit due to inability to function normally before accident excruciating pain day in and out. no help no car personal insurance paid everything / gap when the attorney took case could not find the totaled car? ....there has to be something that can be done about that. one attorney stated the company is responsible, however stated it is a case that would be major. is one's debt and personal liability as a citizen not important enough to receive help towards this matter? i am afraid i will live in and suffer with this pain in debt til death! this is a case that falls in the gray area in the land of o well--- why shouldnt the dealership be responsible? why did the judge throw it out of court, to be against me? why cant i receive medical and loss of time an wages from an immediate emergency surgery? please help me i emailed the attorney general's office and was informed to connect with this line of communication. please help...!!!! i have to work or i will be homeless now what? | |||

| Tl- the contact owns a 2007 dodge charger. while driving less than 10 mph, the contact applied the brakes and the vehicle continued to accelerate; however, after numerous attempts the vehicle came to a stop. in addition, smoke was emitting from underneath the hood. the vehicle was maneuvered to the side of the road, the contact detected flames underneath the hood. the fire department extinguished the fire. the vehicle was towed to the dealer who stated the failure originated from the fuse box. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 85,000. rvk | |||

| Brakes squeal loudly, steering shacks badly, abs light now on. turned rotors and replaced brake pads at 36,000 miles. problem still exists, was told that new rotors would have to be purchased. i have owned numerous vehicles and have never had this problem with rotors or premature brake pad repairs. | |||

| Tl-the contact owns a 2007 dodge charger. the shifter will not shift out of park to drive as the engine starts. also the antilock brake locks as the brake is being depresses. as the vehicle was started the abs and traction warning lights illuminated. he stated he took the shifter panel wire apart and was able put the vehicle in drive then drove it to the mechanic shop. he does not know what type of repairs will be done because the vehicle was still at the mechanic shop. the dealer or the manufacturer was not contacted. the failure mileage was 36,000....mw | |||

| Tl*the contact owns a 2007 dodge charger. on november 1, 2006, the vehicle was serviced for a basic oil change and filter at 3,600 miles. on january 2, 2007, the vehicle was taken to the dealer for basic maintenance, in which the contact requested a tire rotation because the tires were wearing very quickly. he was informed that the tires were rotated, balanced, and that the oil was changed. two months later, the contact noticed that the tires continued to wear very quickly and the brakes were not stopping the vehicle properly. he went to a local tire store and was informed that the tires were placed on the vehicle incorrectly and that two different sized tires should have been installed. the contact returned to the dealer and they were supposed to provide new tires and brakes. they provided the tires and new front brakes, but no rear brakes. the dealer also failed to repair a rattling noise in the fan under the hood; however, they did not. currently, the brakes lock sometimes and the fan still makes a noise as if leaves and sticks are under the hood. the contact has a 100,000 mile warranty, but was advised to take his vehicle to another dealer. the powertrain was unknown. the current mileage was 32,000 and failure mileage was 10,044. updated 01-16-08. *kb updated *jb | |||

| I purchased a 2006 dodge charger daytona over three months ago. i took the vehicle back to the dealer for its first oil change. since the day i purchased it with 70 miles on it, the brakes have squealed badly. i told the dealer about it and they were going to check it out. they called me to say that they could not hear any noise, but if there was a squeal it is typical on all charger daytona's. it is something i just have to live with. when i picked up the car i drove it 100 feet and applied the brakes. a loud squeal came from the brakes, but they still refuse to do anything about it. why is this? why don't they do anything about it? *jb | |||

| Failure of the antilock brakes and power steering resulting in an accident where another vehicle got hit from behind. the gauge cluster died upon impact. this was a rental car from enterprise and the customer before had just turned in the vehicle because she was having problems with the brakes and steering. enterprise refused to document the incident as per that customer and then proceeded to give the vehicle to my son five minutes later. this vehicle has been recalled for abs control module software issues that may cause rear brakes to lock up. chrysler says that not this vin number. *tr | |||

| 2007 dodge charger r/t road & track package(hd brakes) my vehicle has 3500 miles from when i purchased it new and has excessive brake noise and possible front brake damage due to grooving/warping of the rotors. i have complained to the local dealer in my area as to the problem and a possible permanent fix with tsb 05-001-07. the dealer has stated i've been declined for this tsb and all that can be done under warranty is a temporary fix of replacing the brake pads with the same likeness and re-cut the rotors. this should not even be an option for a brand new vehicle with only 3500 carefull miles. the manufactuer is fully aware of this problem in their braking systems and has done nothing to correct this, that i am aware of. as i stated, tsb 05-001-07 was denied for my vehicle due to a sales code that does not match. my vehicle has this heavy duty brake system stated in the tsb, but do to liability will not be done. i have contacted several vehicle owners with the same problems i have, and all are just as frustrated as i am to have a new vehicle with brake problems. the dealer then stated to file a complaint with the manufacturer and hope something comes out before the 12,000 mile warranty is up. thank you! | |||

| Tl*the contact owns a 2007 dodge charger. when driving at various speeds, there was a loud noise in the front of the vehicle. the mechanic stated that they couldn't hear any noise and that the brake pads were not defective. a second diagnosis was obtained from another mechanic who stated that the front brake rotors were warped and the tie rods needed to be replaced. an authorized dealer replaced the tie rods. the contact is concerned that a new vehicle has experienced multiple failures. since the vehicle was repaired the failure has not recurred. the failure mileage was 12,000 and the current mileage was 37,000. | |||

| Rear brakes on 2007 dodge charger (17144 mile, mainly hwy) grooved consistently from top to bottom. dealer checked and the only explanation they would give me was that i live on a gravel road and that rocks are causing this. apparently if you live or are going to drive on a gravel road you can't own a charger. both the dealer and chrysler customer service turned this down as a warranty item. dealer stated rotors needed to be turned but without giving me a solution as to preventing this problem in the future. the grooves in the rotor are about 1/8 of an inch. this would take about 40 rocks perfectly lined up on each of the rear brakes. impossible. i am be given the run around and would appreciate any assistance possible. *jb | |||
