 Tl* the contact owns a 2010 dodge charger. the contact stated that while stopped at a stop light, the vehicle stalled. the contact then noticed smoke coming from the vehicle so he exited. at that point, the contact noticed a fire coming from the rear. no one was injured. the vehicle was towed to a tow yard. the manufacturer was contacted and they stated the vehicle was not included in any recalls. the failure and current mileages were 40,000.

 Tl-the contact owns a 2010 dodge charger. the contact stated that the vehicle was involved in a crash. while stopped at a light, the contact stated that the display on the instrument panel indicated that the vehicle was in park, but the vehicle was actually in drive. the vehicle then rolled backward and the contact lost control. the vehicle crashed into a pole as a result. a police report was filed. the vehicle was not repaired. the contact also stated that he performed research and found out that the failure could have been a result of the column shifter linkage. the dealer and manufacturer were not notified of the failure. the failure mileage was 39,700 and the current mileage was 39, 974. sm.

 Power accelerator and brake pedal movement system has a toggle switch on the drivers side seat that is easily caught by a jacket or a coat. this causes the accelerator pedal to move towards you while driving and in turn causes the vehicle to accelerate faster because your foot is still on the accelerator. the toggle switch to move these pedals forward or back away from the driver needs to be relocated to the dash or inoperable when the vehicle is in the drive position. *tr
