 A/c internal fan switch fails in at least two positions and have had smoke enter inside the van while driving, from i think the fan. once the fan is turned off the smoke goes away.

 The differential pin came loose making a hole through the transmission case. transmission fluid leaked into the torque convertor area and then onto my garage floor. this vehicle has only 74,789 miles. the mechanic told me that this is very common with these transmissions. he said it occurs when one wheel spins while the other wheel is stopped. in other words, if you live in a climate with snow or ice, this failure can occur at any time to your vehicle. i have contacted the manufacturer and they tell me this is not a defect and that they do not know of any problems with their differential pins. i contacted the service manager at the local dealership, he said that he has certainly seen this problem before, but since it occured outside of warranty, i am on my own. the minivan has been repaired, but since the replacement differential is the same as before, a serious defect still exists in my vehicle. i have retained the worn/broken differential unit in case dodge engineers want to inspect it.

 The tackometer and speedometer flatlined to 0 then returned to normal, the horn and cruise control, have stopped working and the airbag light stays on most of the time. the transmission had a total failure in the highway and had to be rebuilt. the wipers occasionally come on by themselves and cycle a couple of times and then stop and occasionally stop in the middle of the windshield (this has been tothe dealer in madison heights, va several times for repair under warranty, but not since the warranty expired. the left speakers on the sound suystem periodically go off and on while the system is on. the starter went out and had to be replaced the end of june, 2000.
 While driving the tackometer and speedometer flat lined to zero. also, transmission indicator light went out. consumer shut engine off and restarted vehicle. air bag warning light remained illuminated/ horn and cruise control were inoperable. please give any further details.*ak

 Coolant gauge, tach,and speedometer all flatline at same time and return intermittently, air bag warning light stays on and horn and cruise control stopped working at same time. drivers side sliding door lock works when it wants to. windshield wipers work when they want to when it is cold outside. no fuel leaks until recall repair made then leak developed when tank filled ( dealer fixed). radio does not switch from am to fm unless button pushed 3 or 4 times. just one big electrical lemon. *ak

 We have had the car approx 6 years and had to put in five transmissions. they keep burning up and nobody can tell us why. we use the vehicle for very little transportation to and from school mostly approx 2 and 1/2 miles each way. the van constantly bucks when slowing down from high speeds to low speeds and will often die doing the same thing. the transmission always seems to be making a sound that indicates it is being stressed while in 2 to 3 gears. *nm

 - 96 dodge grand caravan w/3.8 v6 and 41te 4spd transmision - 2 transmission failures - 1st went to about 125000, then kept hitting the limp home mode - 2nd has torque converter lockup problem, shops say rebuild again, after only 38000 miles. - fan relay went out before recall was issued, had to replace the radiator out of pocket. - had clock spring replaced after component failure relating to it (horn, cruise etc) - union city ga dealer attempted to fix the fuel return line issue, botched it up and caused major leak when refueling. they re-fixed it after much complaining. *ak

 There are two major problems with my 1996 dodge grand caravan. first there is a serious vibration in the front wheel/tires. i have replaced 8 tires (in 30000 miles!), both front axles, all three motor mounts, and had the transmission overhauled, as well as having three alignment checks. the vibration is still there. the second problem involves the windshield wipers. the front wipers were, for a time, coming on any time they felt like it; this was remedied by replacing the multi function switch on 09/21/01. since then, the rear wiper will occasionally come on for one swipe when i first start the vehicle - annoying, but not an immediate hazard. but today, my windshield wipers quit working at all. they will only work if i put the wipers on interval - in which case they do nothing for a time, then make two to four swipes, then wait a while, make one or two swipes, wait a while, etc. they will make one high speed swipe across the windshield if i press the washer button in. i spent $80 today so the dodge dealer could tell me this was caused by a body control module failure. this repair costs over $400...and researching a used part online, i learned that both the wheel shimmy problem and the windshield wiper problems are not unique to my car but are very common issues with the dodge caravan/chrysler town & country/plymouth voyager family. losing your wipers, having them come on at random when they take a notion to, and a non-stop shimmy in the front are each, by themselves, serious safety issues warranting a recall. collectively, they spell out a lack of concern that daimler chrysler has for the safety of those who drive their products. it is my understanding from my online research that chrysler was aware of the problem as long ago as 1998 but deliberately ignored its own information. it is apparent that the only way these safety issues are going to be addressed is if the federal government takes them to task.*ak

 While driving 20 mph, the driver was not able to shift into third gear. the driver tried to shift gears numerous times but was not able to do so. the vehicle was taken to a garage for inspection. the mechanic informed the driver there was nothing wrong with the vehicle. the problem recurred and the driver was not able to shift gears at all. *jb

 1996 dodge grand caravan se. transmission completely failed. third owner at 155,000 miles. happened to first owner as well. leaked transmission fluid everywhere, rear gate was covered with fluid. went through over 2 quarts of fluid a day for a 5 mile drive to work. diagnosed as a loose pin which wore a hole in the transmission case. could not have been prevented. a hole the size of a fist was blown through the top of the case when it finally failed. also, this part is in such demand due to the number of failures with this model that a rebuilt transmission was almost $2000. chrysler was contacted and refused to provide any assistance with the cost of this repair. was on the road in a snow storm when transmission failed, which could have in turn caused a serious accident while stuck in the middle of the road. *jb

 Serpentine belt or tensioner clip has had to be repaired 4 times (towed every time) electrical problems since the beginning; turn the key and the windshield wipers start going, turn the key off and the wipers keep going, take the key totally out of the ignition and the wipers go and the dinging alarm that tells you the lights are on or the key is in, starts.(i seriously thought the car was possessed) or turn the key and nothing comes on except the engine. i've replaced the battery 5 times at least - it's usually better w/ a new battery for a little while. have had to have the window motor and assembly replaced on drivers side twice and 5 times on the passenger side. most recent was 4/04, which was replaced 7/04 again. the side sliding doors on both side do not lock, if you push the button down, you can't get it back up. the rear hatch is damaged from closing the door, looks like i was hit in the rear, but have not been. check engine light was on for months in fall '03, no mechanic could say why. wanted to get the a/c charged but it wouldn't hold a charge. dealer couldn't figure it out. took it to another mechanic who said the a/c unit was totally melted. had it replaced and then the computer reset. replaced the transmission at 100000, the plantatary gears were cracked. check engine light is on again in 7/04, failed emisions, replaced o2 sensor, light still on, tack sticks and car won't accelerate at times - i can push it to the floor and it won't go?? feels like it's choking, no power. have a 3.8l, should have power. there is no panel/door for pass. airbag to come out. if i ever got in an accident, what would it do...just bust through my dash? over time, the dash on that side has gotten soft and mushy, what's that about? my dad bought the same year caravan i did, but he doesn't have the grand caravan le and he doesn't have the 3.8l and he hasn't had a single problem...i guess i got all of them.*ak

 Transmission locked-up on 1996 dodge grand caravan. when we contacted someone about obtaining a transmission, we were informed that the manufacturer had already sent letters to dodge dealerships to expect to be contacted about transmission problems on the 1996 & 1997 grand caravans; the dealerships were told that the transmissions in these vehicles were defective, but that they(manufacturer) would not have them repaired. my husband was traveling on i-40 business outside of winston salem, nc, when this happened. he had with him our 8 year old daughter and my step-daughter, they were stranded on the side of the road for over 4 hours, and at night. we had previously had a pin of some sort in the transmission repaired and the van seemed to be fine after that; we had no other indication that there was a problem--the van's transmission went out without any indication that there was a problem. this happened on a very busy part of the interstate; it just shut down and could have been a very dangerous situation if they had been traveling in the left lane of traffic. due to being in the right lane, they were fortunate enough to get it off the road without being hit by other traffic. we also had to have the van towed over 60 miles to get it home. i would appreciate any info. or assistance you can offer. please contact me if other info or questions are needed. thank you. *nlm

 I purchased my minivan from bedard bros. on feb. 21, 2000. on april 3, 2000 it had a rebuilt transmission put in by bedard bros. because while i was driving it suddenly dropped into a lower gear. then it started leaking fluid. bedards said a pin caused a hole in the transmission case. on may 10, 2000, i had the same problem with the transmission dropping into a low gear and the check engine light coming on. a mechanic at bedard bros. hooked his computer to the vehicle and reset the codes not being able to duplicate the problem. in oct. 2001 i again felt a clunk and it dropped into a lower gear but that somehow corrected itself. but, now the transmission is leaking again. i brought it to bedard bros. on 10/15/01 and they said they replaced the front pump seal. i picked up the vehicle on 10/17/01. on 10/18/01 i noticed the transmission still leaking so i drove it back to bedard bros. the put some type of dye into the system that will help them locate the source. he stated it may be a crack or something but it has to go back for a look on 10/22/01. my concern is that these are defective transmissions. i talked to a person from fenn st. transmission who said these vehicles are known for these problems and that there is a pin that breaks loose and often goes through the transmission case. *ak

 Body control module failure occurred during a move from maryland to georgia, resulting in failure of windshield wipers during rainstorm. arrived at dealer only 451 miles after expiration of 75k warranty. however, neither the dealer nor chrysler would assist in repair costs. have submitted two lengthy voq's today as i am finally fed up with this chrysler product and the failure of chrysler and the nhtsa to enact additional forced recalls of these vehicles. the transmission, fuel tank, body control module, clock spring (which resulted in inoperative airbags), and suspension parts all failed long before they should have. additionally, a cursory search of both nhtsa and other web sites reveals that these parts have a high failure rate. despite being replaced by a dealer only two years ago, the steering rack on my minivan is already failing again. i am extremely unimpressed with both the quality of this vehicle and the lack of support from chrysler in addressing repeated failures.

 This mini van is my 5th such vehicle. each one except for my 2000 (which only has 25000 miles) has experienced transmission troubles earlier than i feel they should have. my 1996 grand caravan has just been put in the shop due to transmission failure. differential gear had a tooth break off causing loud clunk on acceleration. chrysler corp has known for years that their mimivan transmissions are trouble some however have not seemed to want to improve the reliabilty of them. is there any recourse for consumers to get some compensation from chrysler for these lemon transmissions. please contact me with any info that could help me seek renumeration. *ak

 I have had my serpentine belt and tensioner replaced twice, once at 32000 (under warranty) and once at 73000 miles. the dealer charged me the full $200 for the repair in spite of the fact that i'd had it replaced at 32000m and it is a known problem with a service bullitin. the failure causes the power steering to cease opperating. i also had a broken gear tooth in my transmission at 73,000m. the dealer was going to charge me $2100 for a new transmission, but i decided to take it elsewhere and have yet to have it fixed. *ak

 As explained by the dealership service dept transmission bearings wear until differential pin is ejected and damages housing. began with clicking noise (pin), then all transmission fluid leaked out. problem fully anticipated at time of purchase due to common knowledge provided by other caravan owner's that we know. reason why we purchased an extended warranty for approximately $1000. stuck with dodge as they were only ones on market with double sliding doors at the time. we needed this feature due to back injury prevention issues. trannie replacement took over a week and cost $2208 (we paid the $50 deductable on our extended warranty). dealer reps explained that due to poor trannie design, there was a backlog of replacement tranny orders nationwide. when asked if chrysler had engineered the problem out of their trannies. the answer was no. why should they, they make lots of money on this problem as it almost always occurs after the original warranty period expires and owners are forced to pay. i noticed that other complainants list unexplained cracked trannies. more than likely this damage is same engineering defect and ejection of the pin. *ak

 When the vehicle comes to a stop the transmission jumps and then the vehicle dies. this only happens when the vehicle is in the first gear. once the vehicle shifts out of first gear it does not have any problem with shifting. however when the vehicle begins to down shift when it comes to a complete stop as the transmission shifts to first gear it begins to jerk, hesitate and then the engine dies. this problem also exists in reverse, overdrive, third gear & low gear. the transmission was replaced by the dealer at 26000 miles. i serviced the transmission every 25000 miles thereafter. with only 58000 on the new transmission the torque converter and front pump have fallen apart. is there anything on this vehicle that is not a piece of junk? other parts replaced are as follows: water pump, both front door seals, turn signal arm, drivers side visor, both front struts, both rear shocks, front brakes had to be rebuilt, a complete rear brake job (drums,wheel cylinders,spring kit & shoes),fan switch resister is going bad, antifreeze lines going to rear heater core, both oxygen sensors, both side door power lock mechanisms,spark plugs once by the dealer and most recently me, a complete fuel system power flush by the dealer,battery,fan relay switch(recall), and the van is currently on its third transmission, belt tensioner,passenger sun visor, serpentine belt, (,pcv & air) filters are replaced every year & the fuel filter every two years. the emergency brake has not worked for over two years. it is being replaced today. the dealer also recommended another flush of the fuel rails and to clean the throttle body assembly. lest i forget the abs relay/solenoid.*ak

 The car currently has been in a sjop specializing in transmissions defying all attempts to restore the second transmission installed january, 1999. the mechanics are at a total loss to explain why a simple thing like a transmission failed prematurely in january, 1999 and has been effectively destroyed by something unidentifiable now. the second transmission failed on august 3, 2000 and the vehicle has been inoperable to this writing. the car would stop at high speed in highways trapping me and my children in the middle of high speed traffic, lietrally terrorizing me and my children. this would happen aften and the first sign of trouble occurred early whne the column-mounted shift would without warning pop out of gear, leaving the car either in neutral or with the engine turning off. all this was very troubling but chrysler said it was normal. that summarizes my experience with this totally dangerously unreliable vehicle. the only thing that hasn't failed has been the exhaust system. i was told that i or any passengers or other drivers (my older children drive) could have died if the gas ignited when i found the discharge of gas as indicated by the rapidly dropping gas gauge into the engine creating an incredibly noxious odor of gasoline in the passenger compartment alerting me to the potential hazard. chrysler subsequently issued two recalls on this failed fuel system. i have just received another- this at four years old. clearly chrysler knows a lot more about this dangerous, deadly vehicle than it is admitting through these recalls and i am ripping mad. thanks for your attention. *ak( dot number: )

 This is a more complete report on my minivan. i provided vin numbers, etc. with this report. my transmission just stopped shifting into third. i was coming home from tennessee and was going slow through construction on interstate 81 and i started to accelerate from 30 to 35 mph when i felt a pop and the car just would not shift into third. i stopped, called aaa and was towed to radford, va. with repairs, car rental and another trip to radford, va. to pick up aur van after repairs. the repair bill was 2437.59 by university amoco plus 300 dollars for the car rental. that does not include gas and hotel to recover the minivan. neddless to say i do not think the transfmission should fail at only 62000. this is the first transfmission i have had to repair in 28 years of driving. please let me know if the're an increase in transfmission failures for chrysler minivan's.

 The fuel pump problem was diagnosed on 11-27-96, however, the van had been towed into dodge dealerships on two prior occassions, beginning 11-11-96. initially no problem could be found. the van had died while driving on the interstate. about two weeks later, the van died again in city traffic. spark plug wires were replaced. the next day the van died again in city traffic. ultimately, the fuel pump and filter were replaced. each time the van needed towing to the nearest dealership. on 10-14-99, the van made a popping noise while being driven at 40 mph on a country road. i stopped the van and discovered transmission fuid leaking from under the engine. i called a tow truck and had it taken to the dealership. there had been no warning prior to the pop and subsequent leakage. the dealer reported that the transmission needed replacing. there were no obstacles on the road that may have resulted in the problem.

 All major repairs done on this van have been done through dodge dealerships. this vehicle has had more work done on it in it's first three years than any other car i ever owned, even more than my volvo. the repairs, whether under warranty or not causes an extreme inconvenience to the owner. (ie: taking off work, transporting young children, doing without a vehicle, paying for unwarrantied repairs. there are several things wrong with this vehicle that we have not repaired because they do not threaten the safety of the occupants, such as; windshield wipers inadvertantly turn on by themselves, automatic door locks do not work on driver sliding door or passenger door. lights have to be turned off manually sometimes after starting vehicle. this has been a high maintenance vehicle. it surprises me i cannot find any complaints about this vehicle because asking around to those i notice has one, complain about similar type problems. transmission being the most major complaint.

 The van stalls and backfires, then slows to a complete stop. acceleration only slows it down more. once off the road, i turn the engine off for half an hour before restarting. this had happened about 10 times in the past week. the 'service engine soon' light came on twice. i first went to the lodi dodge dealership. the code read 'multiple cylinder misfire'. they did a diagnosis. they changed the fuel filter, air filter and fuel pump relay plug. the problem remained. i then took the van to an independent shop. they did a dianosis. they said it needed a tune-up. that did not solve the problem. this past friday, i took the van to another shop. they could not find anything wrong. the problem remains. i called the chrysler customer service number on friday to inquire about any bulletins out that might pertain to this intermittant problem. i was told there weren't any. however, on your website i found bulletin #18-30-95 that does sound like it is related. this is a very dangerous situation. i never know when or where the car will freeze up and come to a complete stop.

 I purchased this vehicle october of 1995, in march of 96 the fuse block had to be replaced along with a multi function switch because the wipers would come on by themselves while i was driving, a contact and plunger kit because the right sliding door would not always unlock when using the unlock button, the fuel tank was replaced because it only held 12 gallons of gas when it was supposed to hold 18 - 20, the tank was installed so that the tank was bowed in the middle and the front door panel was reattached to the door and the left sliding door was repaired because it would not unlock with the key. in august of 1997 the switch for the interior lights was replaced because the lights would flicker, the left side sliding door lock was replaced again along with the rear door latch. in sept. 0f 97 a gear was replaced for the power steering, the left sliding door had moulding replaced because the clips were broken. in august of 98 the stereo was replaced because the treble would fade, the vehicle shut off while i was driving no one could explain this phenomenon, the relay switch was replaced and the rack and pinion was replaced also the multi-function switch was replaced again. in sept. of 98 the car was back in the shop because the air bag light came on. evidently when they replaced the relay switch just 7 days earlier things in the dash started working that had not worked up til that point for instance i was not aware that the chime would go off if the blinker was left on for over a mile. it took 7 days to get my car back because they found out that there were never any screws holding the air bag in the module so as far as i know for the two years that my husband and i were driving this car there was no protection by and air bag. this past week july 1, we were on vacation and we had to replace the transmission to the tune of $l771. the car is back in the shop today (7/6) because it appears that the transmission continues to slip and run at high rpm.please help!!

 I experienced complete tire traction failure using my dodge grand caravan equipped with the pirelli tires described herein. the tires were purchased 6/27/00 from lawrence hill getty in huntington, ny. i had asked for all weather tires. on december 31, 2000, and then again on jan 1, 2001, i experinced no traction on the tires, and slid purposefully on two separate occasions into snowbanks, the first time to avoid hitting a car in front of me while travelling with my family of five, and then again to avoid sliding into a blind interesection. i brought the car into a goodyear dealer on 1/1/01, and bought goodyear aquatread 3's. the car handles admirably with these tires. i have contacted the pirelli manufacturer who stated that these tires are rated summer tires. i am shocked that any tire company would put any driver needlessly in danger by putting summer rated tires in an allweather situation, especially when i specifically asked for all-weather tires. the company offered an unacceptable remedy. i am reporting these incidents to you to attempt to deter pirelli from this misleading and potentially fraudulent practice. i was travelling no more than 10-15 miles per hour, allowing plenty of time and distance to stop. i also ride motorcycles and am very aware of road surface, stopping distances, and alternative avenues of escape. it was this experience that kept me from critically or otherwise injuring my family or another family while relying to my detriment on the reputation of the pirelli tire company in providing proper tires in my area. the company is apparently looking to divert any responsibility for their product. are there any other reports of pirelli tire failure that i may see? thank you in advance.*ak (tiresize: 215/65 16)( dot number: tire size: 215/65 16 )

 There are two major problems with my 1996 dodge grand caravan. first there is a serious vibration in the front wheel/tires. i have replaced 8 tires (in 30000 miles!), both front axles, all three motor mounts, and had the transmission overhauled, as well as having three alignment checks. the vibration is still there. the second problem involves the windshield wipers. the front wipers were, for a time, coming on any time they felt like it; this was remedied by replacing the multi function switch on 09/21/01. since then, the rear wiper will occasionally come on for one swipe when i first start the vehicle - annoying, but not an immediate hazard. but today, my windshield wipers quit working at all. they will only work if i put the wipers on interval - in which case they do nothing for a time, then make two to four swipes, then wait a while, make one or two swipes, wait a while, etc. they will make one high speed swipe across the windshield if i press the washer button in. i spent $80 today so the dodge dealer could tell me this was caused by a body control module failure. this repair costs over $400...and researching a used part online, i learned that both the wheel shimmy problem and the windshield wiper problems are not unique to my car but are very common issues with the dodge caravan/chrysler town & country/plymouth voyager family. losing your wipers, having them come on at random when they take a notion to, and a non-stop shimmy in the front are each, by themselves, serious safety issues warranting a recall. collectively, they spell out a lack of concern that daimler chrysler has for the safety of those who drive their products. it is my understanding from my online research that chrysler was aware of the problem as long ago as 1998 but deliberately ignored its own information. it is apparent that the only way these safety issues are going to be addressed is if the federal government takes them to task.*ak

 I have a 1996 dodge grand carvan le 3.8. in the last 2 months the serpentine belt slipped off 2 times when it is raining outside or the van goes through a puddle of water. i have almost been killed twice. i have read that other dodge owners have also had this problem. the wheel cannot be controlled when this happens, and my wife is scared to drive this car now. i think that dodge has some explaining to do as they have been made aware of this defect, and are not taking any responsibility for this repeated serious safety fault.

 The differential pin came loose making a hole through the transmission case. transmission fluid leaked into the torque convertor area and then onto my garage floor. this vehicle has only 74,789 miles. the mechanic told me that this is very common with these transmissions. he said it occurs when one wheel spins while the other wheel is stopped. in other words, if you live in a climate with snow or ice, this failure can occur at any time to your vehicle. i have contacted the manufacturer and they tell me this is not a defect and that they do not know of any problems with their differential pins. i contacted the service manager at the local dealership, he said that he has certainly seen this problem before, but since it occured outside of warranty, i am on my own. the minivan has been repaired, but since the replacement differential is the same as before, a serious defect still exists in my vehicle. i have retained the worn/broken differential unit in case dodge engineers want to inspect it.

 The car currently has been in a sjop specializing in transmissions defying all attempts to restore the second transmission installed january, 1999. the mechanics are at a total loss to explain why a simple thing like a transmission failed prematurely in january, 1999 and has been effectively destroyed by something unidentifiable now. the second transmission failed on august 3, 2000 and the vehicle has been inoperable to this writing. the car would stop at high speed in highways trapping me and my children in the middle of high speed traffic, lietrally terrorizing me and my children. this would happen aften and the first sign of trouble occurred early whne the column-mounted shift would without warning pop out of gear, leaving the car either in neutral or with the engine turning off. all this was very troubling but chrysler said it was normal. that summarizes my experience with this totally dangerously unreliable vehicle. the only thing that hasn't failed has been the exhaust system. i was told that i or any passengers or other drivers (my older children drive) could have died if the gas ignited when i found the discharge of gas as indicated by the rapidly dropping gas gauge into the engine creating an incredibly noxious odor of gasoline in the passenger compartment alerting me to the potential hazard. chrysler subsequently issued two recalls on this failed fuel system. i have just received another- this at four years old. clearly chrysler knows a lot more about this dangerous, deadly vehicle than it is admitting through these recalls and i am ripping mad. thanks for your attention. *ak( dot number: )

 I bought a 1996 dodge grand caravan 3 years ago. this past july i had to take a loan out to pay $2000 for a transmission. after speaking to quite a few mechanics, i was told that the dodges that have the 3.3 liter engines in them have trouble with the transmissions. the mechanics stated that have had a lot of dodges that they have to replace the transmission in and the dodge is aware of this problem and has done nothing about it. i have owed 2 other vehicles that are not dodges and have never had to replace a transmission at all and they are older than my van. i had to purchase my van, so i could put my husband's wheelchair in it. it is easier to get it in and out of the van. i am on a fixed income due to my husband being disabled and we have son in school. so money is very tight. i was lucky i qualified for the loan to get a new transmission, or i would be unable to transport my husband back and forth to doctor appts and shopping. i have spoke with other dodge owners who have all told me they have had to replace the transmission in their dodge 3.3 liter vehicles. but what gets me is that all the transmission experts that i spoke with said, they change at least 2 -3 transmission a week in these dodges. and that dodge is fully aware of this problem. it seems to me that dodge doesn't mind fixing the small problems, but over look that fact that they have a defect that causing a transmission to go out and it costing the buyer at a minimum of $2000 to replace. this has to be stopped and dodge made to be held accountable for our cost. there needs to be a class action suit brought against them for this. one guy i work with had his brand new dodge truck leave him on the side of the road, when the transmission went out and he had only 57,800 miles on it. dodge knows they put out a defect transmission, but they are making the consumer pay for it. this is wrong and they need to be held accountable. *jb

 Poor quality of repair at outstate dealership. southern dealership had not been this type of failure. when arriving back in homestaed (michigan) dealer van was purchased thru stated common occurance and has seen the failure before. has to take van back for more repairs as flex-plate shipped with rebuilt transmission was not installed with replacement transmission. vehicle developed imbalance when placed in park so severe steering wheel shook. also developed cluncking noise when started or engine shut off. still at colonial dodge inc. (810-778-1800 being diagnosed.
