Defect SummaryArizona mobility products (amp) is recalling one 2005 and one 2007 conversion vans built on dodge grand caravan chassis equipped with vmi/ricon 6-way power seat bases. there is a possibility of a defective weld at the joint between the pivoting plate and the pivoting plate pin.
Consequence SummaryThe seat occupant may be injured if the seat base pin were to break.
Corrective SummaryAmp will notify owners and repair vehicles free of charge. the safety recall is expected to begin on or about june 16, 2010. owners may contact amp at 1-602-385-5988.

 We were stopped behind an ambulance in traffic when a large pick-up truck barreled into us. driver was intoxicated. my 5-year old daughter was strapped into the built-in booster seat in the middle bench. on impact, the whole bench came out of the floor and flipped her forward and then backwards. she sustained a black eye. *tr

 Tl-the contact owns a 2007 dodge grand caravan. the vehicle was running for approximately 2 hours with the stow and go rear seats depressed down into the floor. while parked he touched the metal bars that were exposed on the back of the seats and got burned. the manufacturer was notified and informed him they would send an investigator to examine the vehicle. the vehicle has yet to be examined or repaired. the failure and current mileages were 140,000. sm.
