| Tire blew (tread peeled off). air pressure had been checked the previous evening and was fine. car was bouncing like the air was low so i pulled off the freeway to make a visible inspection. no visible problems, but i continued through town. about 10 minutes later, the left front tire blew. i was able to maintain control because i was in a 35 mph zone. if i had been on the freeway when it blew, i don't think i would have been able to maintain control. i contacted the dealer where i bought the car the next morning and left a message for the service manager. he has yet to return the call. i will also issue a complaint with firestone. | Tire had major tread separation, i had read about this problem in the local newspaper, but assume no action was taken. this is a very dangerous situation and could have lead to a bad accident had it not been descovered in time | |||
