| The car started normally after sitting in a parking lot for 30 minutes. when the car was placed in reverse, the car lurched backwards and began accelerating on it's own. i quickly applied the brakes and stopped the car and put it in neutral but the engine continued to race from idle to 3000rpm. i repeatedly tried to restart the car and the same issue arose. finally the car settled down and i was able to get it home. i took it to the dealer and was told the throttle body was bad and i replaced it. same issue reappeared and i was then told it needed to be initialized to the new throttle body. the day after having the work done at the dealer the car began to accelerate on it's own in traffic. i contacted the dealer and was told there was a common problem with the pcm's in this particular car. i cannot believe that chrysler has a car on the road that when the pcm fails, the car will accelerate on it's own. chrysler says there is nothing they can do as it is out of warranty. | |||

| I purchased this vehicle brand new in 2005. 3 months after the purchase, the car would not shift out of park. it vehicle was still under warranty at this time. 6 years later, the car has done the same thing again. after a quick research of google, yahoo, and youtube, i noticed that thousands of people are having the same problem. a recall is not in place for my vehicle but is in place for others with the same shifter and make that was told to me by the dealership. a recall should be in place. please look into this matter | |||

| Magnum 5.7l rt awd..... stalls repeatedly after gas tank fill-up. takes about 5 minutes of running before engine runs normally. extremely dangerous when driving in heavy traffic. dealer says they can find nothing wrong (ie no error codes). internet search locates many others who have same problem and same dealer response, but indicate that it is a fault of the gas tank emmisions components. | |||

| Bought an 05 hemi awd magnum w/20,000 miles in 07. warranty expired at 85,000miles. problems after problems, rack and pinion fixed, egr valve fixed, torque converter replaced once and still having the same issue. shudders, vibrations, hard engine noises and stalls, pulls to the right, electrical problems with windows, sunroof, seats, gps, instrument cluster, power outlets, hood and hatchback just fall down and bump your head. passenger seat was missing bolts and wasnt fastened to frame. $200 keyless entry key replacement. no where near 24 mpg more like 14 down a flat 55mph highway. currently 114,000 miles oil always changed around 3,000 miles and had a 3 tranny flushes. take it to certified dodge dealerships and they cant figure out what is wrong with any of those problems and try and tell me thats the way it is. uhhhhhhhuh..... lemon? | |||

| The car is stuck in park. after reading several forums from other consumers with the same make, model and year, this seems to be a problem for alot of consumers. other dodge models had a recall so i don't understand why there isn't a recall for the dodge magnum. | |||

| I have a 2005 dodge magnum rt, and it has a stalling problem, it will stall at traffic lights, when your turning a corning or while your driving. my wife has almost been in a accident because it stalled turning a corner,you lose a power, this is a dangerous situation. i have researched this and it is all over the internet with people having this same problem.... i have had it to several mechanics and they don't know what is wrong..... i no longer drive this car it just sits in my driveway..... | |||

(pink little clip) and a $0.50 spring the guy from the tow truck company told me that he tows at least 1 or 2 cars with this problem every day. the dealer told me that the only way to fix this is to replace the the gear shifter... $450 i bought he extended guarantee from dodge to cover my car for 5 years or $100,000 miles but of course that part is not covered and even if it was still under warranty, i will get another shifter that will eventually fail due to poor engineering looks to me like it should have been a recall by now. | |||

| There is a obvious defective part regarding the shift assembly on dodge magnums,chrysler 300's & dodge chargers. a plastic gearpiece on the shift assembly is known by service advisors at dodge & tow truck operators that bring in several cars to dodge dealerships with the same problem. the issue is once this flimsy piece of plastic is broken, it prevents the vehicle from shifting into any gear. the repair to fix this known issue is about $500.00 dollars at a dodge dealership. something needs to be done to make dodge be responsible for its vehicles. | |||

| My car was doing fine until i went to back up and it wouldn't come out of park. i had never had it happen before. i couldn't get it out of park. no warning lights and no noise just wouldn't come out of park. the shifter needed to be replaced. a shifter assembly needed replaced | |||

| I have a complaint against the city of montgomery,al, the county of montgomery, al, the state of al etc.. i been having problems with my mail running 6 to 20 days not delivered. now i'm having problems with my car. honestly i don't trust the dealer and there service department when it comes to my safety. furthermore i made a complaint with the department of justice when it came to my privacy which pertains to a gps system i feel was attached by alabama government officials because of the current complaints i have against them. i took my car in on 04/30/09 at 1:00 pm for repair at the brewbaker service department. i was told by ronnie a service representative that i would get my car back that day after a part came in. i checked on my car everyday up to know 05/04/09. ronnie still up till this day is stating he is waiting on a part. i seriously think something is wrong. it don't take 5 days to repair a car or wait on a part for minor service which ronnie said would take an hour to repair. more importantly my car has been sitting at this shop for 5 days for minor repair and i question the safety of the car being that i have a complaint against alabama government officials and the fact my privacy is being invaded. please look into my complaint and just consider this a predetermination if i have problems with this car 2005 dodge magnum in the future. the company's info is brewbaker motors chrysler dodge etc dealer, 300 eastern bypass, montgomery, al 36117 (334)279-0174. *tr | |||
