| Bought car from father in law, he bought the car new. he had no problems with it.soon after i bought from him in 2000(it was still new!),power windows quit working then started working again.cruise control went out, still dont work. front end crash 2003 may, 4783.45 in damage, air bag did not deploy at 40mph !!! i had car repaired by non chrysler garage as per advice of erie insurance co. erie wont cover because they say its chrysler's problem, chrysler says its my problem because work was done at non daimler chrysler garage and they were rude and hung up on me! erie told me to have diagnostic check done on it becuz in aug 03 the air bag lite started to come on and horn wont work. i had the check done and they said clockspring needs replaced. not erie or chrysler will fix. | |||

| I have a 2000 dodge neon. there is something wrong in with the venting system. at time it will quit blowing air out of the vent even though i can here the blower fan blowing. there is excessive moisture in the system. sometimes when i turn on the it blows out alot of mousture. it stops in the summer with the ac on and in the winter. when i try to use the vents it blows out more moisture. the side windows and rear will not defrost. | |||

| Interior trunk lock wasn't operable. consumer went to open the trunk and lock wouldn't unlock/ cigerette lighter and cd player failed. consumer took vehicle to the dealership. mechanic told her that they couldn't duplicate the problems. *ak seat belt malfunctions. door light and dome light stays on alarm system malfunctons continuously. power windows malfunctions. cruise control failed. the vehicle stalled on the road. vehicle alignment problems while using brakes. *yh | |||

| Vehicle was going 35mph on dry road. front air bags did not deploy upon impact consumer's vehicle hit two vehicles, but only one head on. front airbags on both sides did not deploy. dealer and manufacturer were notified but the vehicle was totaled. the consumer's nose was severed from the steering wheel due to the air bag not deploying. *ak consumer states r/r seat belt retractor button on belt was broken and installed, also left front seat belt was replaced, and sun roof molding was loose and falls on consumer?s head. *yd | |||

| Occasionally when putting driver side window down, all gauges go up and down, and there is a loud chimming noise. transmission went @ 50,000 mi. chrysler paid half at dealerships request, after car was serviced, i sent chrysler a letter explaining all of my problems, and response was: dealership handled the transmission problem and chrysler was not willing to help me, and they also informed me that the dealership told them that i never reported the problem with the gauges (this is because i lived in another location and took my car to a 5 star dealership in ct, and they could not find the problem). oil leaking, (was first informed of this when the dealership was fixing the transmission problem) there is now a puddle of oil resting in the lower part of the engine, car stalled at light, very strong fumes upon starting and while driving, and car seems to be shifting late...contacted dealership and made appt. for 8-15-02. also, rear brakes seem to lock up and make alot of noise, front brakes squeal. thank you. | |||

| As with a multitude of other owners of this vehicle, whenever there is a rain (heavy or light), water leaks into the interior of the car (most likely through the trunk, possibly around the taillight or another hard to diagnose area). the water will fill up the spare tire well and pool there, then move under the back seats and the back seat floors where again the water pools and soaks into the lining/cushions/interior. all of this water causes both structural damage to the body of the car (rust and other issues), produces mildew and mold in the interior of the vehicle (a potential health hazard), and creates highly humid and moist environment inside the car. the leak and water have also affected the reverse/backup lighting (another hazard) and rusted parts of the spare tire well. in addition the high humidity results in interior windows being not just fogged but having a worrisome amount of condensation that must be removed before driving safely. numerous attempts have been made to seal the leak in the trunk to no avail. a quick internet search for this problems reveals hundreds and hundreds of people with the exact same issue of the leak. dodge has never addressed this issue with consumers. *tr | |||
