ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING

My 2005 dodge neon, began accelerating all by it self. i was not giving it gas and applying the brakes. i pulled into my driveway, it kept going, i went through my garage door. i tried to put the car in park, but the garage door slowed me down, and i then put the car in park. i read on line this has happened to hundreds of people. i tried to change the throttle sensor, that did not work. my next step is to change the oxygen sensor. i hope that works. i have been without a car for 1 week now, because i am scared to death to drive it again. it happened one other time prior to running into the garage. it just seems like there should be some type of recall as this is very dangerous. i was lucky it was my garage door instead of a human being. it cost me 800 to replace the garage door, and that wasa friend giving me an incredible deal. you cannot replace a human life. please have dodge neon give a solution to fix this problem, and warn people about it. arizona december 26th, 2011

I was driving on the freeway for several miles and got off an off ramp. i continued to drive throughout the city and had come to a four way stop. i proceeded to go and accelerated in 1st gear and then put the car into 2nd gear. while in the 2nd gear, the engine came to an abrupt stop and sparks flew all over the street. the clutch had ejected itself out of the transmission causing massive damage to the engine bay and chassis. dealer and insurance companies denied my claim and have not fixed my motor vehicle. *jb
ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING - COOLING SYSTEM - RADIATOR ASSEMBLY

Tl*the contact owns a 2005 dodge neon. the radiator clamp fell off and caused all of the radiator fluid to leak out of the vehicle. the vehicle failed and was towed to the dealer. at 9,000 miles, the front brake pads had to be replaced and an alignment was performed. both repairs were performed under warranty. at 15,000 miles, the tires caused the vehicle to shake when the gear was in drive. all four tires were replaced under warranty. at 18,000 miles, the brackets under the driver's seat failed and the seat could not be moved backwards or forwards. the repair was performed under warranty. also at 18,000 miles, the dealer had to adjust the rear brakes because they were squealing and pulsating. the squealing and pulsating occurred all the time, but especially in the mornings. the contact paid for the adjustment. the cd player failed and was repaired under warranty. currently, the rear brakes are still squealing and pulsating, and the motor mounts have failed. the motor makes a popping sound during acceleration. while driving in reverse, the motor will sink into the vehicle. the only thing supporting the motor is the exhaust. the motor is almost touching the hood of the vehicle when it is closed. he has scheduled an appointment for the motor mounts to be repaired. the current mileage was 32,764 and failure mileage was 300.

I bought a 2005 dodge neon sxt on december 14,2005 and just on sunday january 8, 2006 the clamp and hose of the radiator just broke. i had my car towed to my house and then i had the car towed to the dealers on monday. they advised me that it was that, which i noticed that day that about 6 other cars came in also the same year make and model, it was the 2005 dodge neon sxt line. so they replaced the part and so far it has held up but don't now for shore yet. so please pass this down in the recall that this line of car's have a hose and clamp recall thanks edward robinson. *jb

My 2005 dodge neon does not want to crank. when it does crank and you accelerate then rpms increase rapidly and then fall back to about 1500 and the car starts acting like it wants to cut off. the engine light is now on and does not go off. when you come to a stop the car jumps forward quickly and then acts like it is going to cut off. not drivable, too dangerous. *tr
