My dodge nitro is not able to pass safety inspection due to non-working parking brake. mechanic inspected rotors and drums. everything looked okay. problem seems to be too much slack and brake handle but no way to adjust. i have seen a lot of complaints about similar problem; even a recall but only for manual transmission nitros, mine is automatic. i feel a recall is warranted. *tr

In purchasing a 2007 dodge nitro it has been in the repair shop for almost 30 days with in a 5 month period. first, defective brakes and now for the 5th time stalling while driving along with instrument lights flashing on and erratic jerking around. i don't know how else to explain it. the car decides to turn off while driving through an intersection nearly causing a major accident. this is not a single incident and i fear for my life and my 5 year old daughters life driving in this car. *tr
