While driving in stop and go traffic my 1995 dodge ram1500 pick up went from firm steady braking,to pedal on the floor no brakes.after searching for the problem i have learned that the brakeline between the framerail and the fueltank ruptured spraying brakefluid at high volume. also i have noticed heavy rust on the lines (not stainless steel as i thought). as of this document i have not began repairs.

A brake failure due to a rupture in the front passenger side brake hose connected to the caliper. this failure led me to narrowly escape an accident when attempting to stop at a red light. the failure appears to be caused by the brake line being too short causing excessive flexing during turning at the crimp connector on the caliper end of the brake line. *jb
