| The dash board is all cracked up now do to dodge using cheap materials. i have always put up a sun shade no matter where i parke my truck and it is always in my garage when not being driven. shame on dodge chrysler products for making such a garbage truck. and the rack & pinion steering should last alot longer than it has. no wonder people buy foreign autos. they are far superior. | |||

| Having several electrical issue with my dodge truck. not all power windows and autolock work and have to replace the bulbs for the brakes and turning signal about every 6 months. already replaced the bracket where the bulbs go. plus seen several complains on the dashboards cracking like my truck has and dodge won't have a recall nor fix this issue. | |||

| My 2003 ram 1500 1d7hu18d9 3s349709 has been in repair for the same problem twice while under warranty and now the problem has developed again. it's a know problem with ram defrost/floor air control module or doors. dodge knows there should be a recall on this do to danger of no defroster for safe driving. i want it repaired at no cost. three times same problem should qualify as lemon law defect. i have no way to clear fog or ice from windshield while driving. | |||

| Truck stalls every time i start slowing down for a stop sign or red light and sometimes when i turn corners. when idling it shuts off immediately unless i throttle to keep rpms up. also stalls when i put it in reverse. i've been almost hit several times when pulling into an intersection. replaced all known causes and nothing has fixed the issue. i have read in some sites i may need a software update from dodge dealership. | |||

| I bought my 2003 dodge ram 1500 new from the dealer..within the last year and half...several parts of the truck that are plastic molds have begun to break..the dash (both parts), lock switch bezels, hood scoop insert, and a few other pieces. it seems to me that the type of plastic or quality that dodge used in manufacturing these parts has led to numerous accounts of parts breaking where in most cases the parts should hold up to the life the of vehicle. i feel like a re-call, especially on the dashboards of the ram trucks, should be issued so that dodge can correct a problem from a manufacturing defect. thank you for you time and consideration into this matter. | |||

| Dash started to crack slightly a couple years ago, within a few days it was all the way across the forward panel in the center. i have noticed recently that there are several other cracks that have developed in both the forward and rear portions of this dash. there are places that i can literally pull pieces out out the dash, all of the grids over the vents are so brittle that when i put my sun shield in the front window 3 of them busted out just by touching them with the shield. the condition of this dash is so bad that i fear if the passenger side airbag were to inflate it could possibly throw pieces of the dash plastic at the passenger and severely injure them. i have spoken with a parts manager at a dodge dealership and he said that there have been problems with the dash boards of models from 1999 through 2005, but he said dodge has made no effort to fix the problem. | |||

| 2003 dodge ram 1500 dashboard cracked in less than 3 years of buying it new. accodring to dodge its cosmetic but this is clearly a safety hazard when i drive. the dash has so many cracks and sharp jagged edges than can severely hurt someone. obviously dodge does not care about its customers once they have bought one of their vehicles. its an obvious defect yet dodge somehow manages to get away with poor quality at the customers expense. | |||

| I have a 2003 dodge ram 1500 with multiple cracks in the dash. the dash started cracking a little over a year after i bought the truck new. i contacted the dealer ship, big o dodge and my warranty provider and both state it is cosmetic and not covered under the warranty. the cracks have continued to get larger. i have holes where the vents are suppose to be on top f the dash. i also have parts of the plastic down in the vents where they have fallen. these small parts tend to fly around when you turn on the defrost or hit a bump. i have tried to take care of the dash by using multiple popular products but nothing seems to keep it from cracking. this is dangerous and i am afraid if i get in a wreck my dash could break apart and hurt or kill me or someone in my truck. | |||

| 2003 dodge ram 1500 quad-cab. during normal use and care the dashboard has cracked in two places. a piece has broken off the dash and fell down into the area behind the dashboard. subsequently, the heater stopped blowing hot air. the heater failure appears to be due to the broken piece of the dash interfering with the heater mechanism behind the dash. no repair or replacement has been attempted at this time. the plastic inserts in the door handles have also failed. this includes the components that hold the window, mirror, and door lock controls. | |||

| 2003 dodge ram 1500 dashboard's cracking. started in 2008 around 88k miles and is progressively getting worse. no recall to my knowledge, even though my neighbor, a relative, myself and almost everyone that's owned a dodge truck from 200 to 2004 has had or has heard of the same issue! amazing what does it take to be recognized as a problem! two weeks ago i went again to buy a pwr steering pulley that had disintegrated on an 04' dakota and the parts mgr said that he thought they were using better materials on the replacement dashes. he thinks!!!! he should know since he obviously knew this was an issue, and said so!!!!! why should a materiel's defect come out of my pocket? where's our government????? | |||

| My 2003 dodge ram 1500 was in the shop for an a/c repair when they had to remove the dash board. about 3 months later a small crack appeared, followed by many more larger cracks. in 2 different parts of my dash board. the dash board continues to spider crack 9 months later. the dealer looked at it early on and never contacted me back saying it is a problem w/ these trucks. nothing they will do about it. treated me as if it was my fault. blamed everything from the elements, the design, me and didn't care to help. my truck has been babied and has less than 60k miles. this is a defective dashboard/plastic and needs to be addressed. what's to happen if i am in an accident with airbags, this is my family vehicle...will this become shrapnel? as i read other complaints this has been an on going issue. why hasn't this been addressed, my truck has never be in an accident! no reason for this to happen. bad enough that the a/c failed at 51,000 miles at a huge cost but to end up with a broken dash is wrong! | |||

| The dash in my 2003 dodge is colapsing, i have had large pieces of plastic fall in my dash ans wedge in my ac unit. the entire dash is cracked. i have went to the dodge dealer where i was told i would have to pay o have it replaced, i was told that unfortutly that 9 out of 10 dodge rams made between 1999 & 2006 are doing the same thing and that it is only in florida. i called dodge and spoke with a very rude rep. who first told me they would pay 25 to 40percent. i still have to pay right at $600. i was told they are still using the same dashes so it will problly start cracking at 3 years old like this one did. i ont have the money and i am having to borrow to have this fixed. i have had to spend over $400 to have other items fixed beacuse of the dash. i dont know what else i can do. i dont think it is right to have to pay to fix a part that the dealer admits to being defective. | |||
