I filled up all the way until the pump clicked at the gas station and then upon pulling out of the gas station the truck stalled into traffic while leaving the gas station. less than a mile later i had to stop for a red light and truck stalled again. i bought the truck on 2/9/13 and the issue occured on 2/11/13. i took it to the dealership but because a code was not thrown it is my issue to deal with. i have avoided topping off at the pump and have to watch the amount of gallons of fuel i put in in order not to have the same situation occur again. this is not a valid fix in my opinion. i can see the situation exists with other owners of the same year of this vehicle as well. why is this not being addressed?!?!?

Unable to fill gas tank because of defect in gas tank.. it appears that a roll over safety item, designed to cut off fuel from pouring out of the filler pipe, malfunctioned and caused the fuel pipe to be blocked at the tank. this is an expensive repair, as the gas tank, fuel pump and sending unit need to be replaced, i called chrysler and lodged a complaint, and was told there are no recalls or service bulletins for this problem.

Dash board is cracking just like all the other dodge trucks of this same time frame. it has many sharp edges that have the potential to do harm to somebody. i don't understand, there are countless complaints of this on every forum and complaint site. there was also a news broadcast about, and has anybody tried to resolve this problem? the only response you get is get a dash cover . no, i don't want something to cover-up the crack i want it fixed. sure, i can buy a new one, but it will just do it again in a couple of years. they need to produce a better dash, made of better material, and show some kind ownership of the product they produce.

2004 ram 1500 5.7 hemi stalls at low engine speeds, often at stop signs, traffic lights, or parking lot maneuvers. will usually start immediately back up, sometimes requires slight accelerator pressure when cranking in order to obtain self-sustaining engine speed. during decelerations, engine rpm is erratic and will often encounter a transient drop in rpm's to approximately 400 rpm before engine dies. issue seems to be more common and severe in cold weather, or when engine is cold, but has occured under all conditions. this has been a persistent problem for about two years, happening anywhere from once a day to a dozen times. multiple dealerships and mechanics have looked at this, without result. the computer has been updated, the sensors, egr valve, and intake manifold cleaned, and the throttle body has been replaced. still not fixed. vehicle has been well maintained and has less than 55k miles. this is an expensive, dangerous, and frustrating condition.

Tl-the contact owns a 2004 dodge ram 1500. the contact received a recall notification associated with two different voluntary recalls issued by the manufacturer. the recall reference numbers were e17 and h46. the safety defect components were unknown. the vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer for the recall remedy repair; however, the technician refused to repair the vehicle after an appointment was previously scheduled. the dealer was unable to provide a date when the vehicle could be repaired. the manufacturer was notified and would not provide further assistance. the contact was displeased of the uncertainty for the vehicle remedy repair. the current mileage was 46,000. there was no failure mileage. the vin was unavailable. js

The handle to assist getting into my 2004 dodge ram 1500 came loose and dropped me on the ground. being 69 years old this is unacceptible. on top of it all i had to pay for a new one....large piece to just replace a handle!! expensive too! why can't american manufacturers git their s*** together?

2004 dodge ram 1500 pickup, engine rpm's surge consistantly with no consequence other than the truck shutting down. starts back most of the time with no problem but ther has been instances where the truck does not want to restart. while driving the rpm's run fine but when you decellerate for turning or parking or intersections the truck is slow to gear down and the rpm's surge again shutting the truck down. this is a constant problem with the truck.

Truck shuts off while driving - i had to stand on the brakes and steering was almost impossible. this happened while attempting to merge onto early morning traffic in i95 in ft lauderdale where everybody is going 70-75 mph. if that truck had hit me, i and several others around me would have died. we were just plain lucky. i had it towed to the dealer and they found nothing wrong. this happened about a dozen times and i kept fixing things which were not broken before i did a little research and found out this truck is famous for this problem. 2 dealers will not even return my calls when i start to discuss this problem. they either know about this problem and do not want to get involved or realize this cannot be fixed. i have to drive this vehicle across florida to bring it back to where i purchased it. my brother is flying down from boston to follow me in case i have trouble. if delaer gives me a negative response i am planning on suing chrysler and the dealer as i really believe they knew about this problem when they sold me the truck there are hundreds of others with the same exact issue with the same exact truck. why has nhtsa not done something? *cn
