The outer tie rods are worn again. i had them replaced already once, at approximately 22,000 miles. don't think that they should wear so fast, this will be the 3rd set including the originals. i see that dodge has recalled the 2008 my and greater, but not 2007. i think with a late model 2007, chances are the parts are the same as the 2007 my. i think dodge should pay for this 2nd repair and provide some sort of warranty for it for the future. *tr

My steering wheel makes a clicking sound when you turn the wheel. i was told by the dealership that there is only a recall for this on some models. if my vechicle is doing what the recall is stating and i have the vechilce that the recall is on why is it not replacable free of charge? this makes no sense to me. nhtsa # 09e001000, componet : steering linkages. is out there and i cannot get this replaced under the recall rules. please explain this to me.

My truck shakes violently when i drive in excess of 57 mph. when i hit a bump in the road (specifically the seems between the road pavement and the concrete bridges) or am in a curve, the shaking is even worse. the only solution is slowing down to 20-30 mph. i have replaced my steering suspension, had my tires rebalanced, had my tires rotated, and had diagnostics checks on tie rods, struts, bearings, etc. to no avail.

Vehicle was brought for oil change at dealership. at time, they found excessive play in both outer tie rod ends. both tie rod ends were replaced and set toe, which was covered under warranty.

Tl-the contact owns a 2007 dodge ram 1500. while driving approximately 25-55 mph the steering became difficult. the vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer and the dealer replaced the front tie rod. the contact stated the first failure was approximately 2 years ago. the contact stated he was experiencing the failure again. the contact was having the vehicle serviced and was advised that the front tie rod ends needs replacing again. the contact stated the dealer was checking with the manufacture since he was experiencing the failure again. the vehicle has not been repaired. the failure mileage was 9,000 and the current mileage was 33,740.

Purchased a 2007 dodge ram 1500 4x4 nov. 30th 2007. vehicle was sold to me as new(had roughly 1400 mile on it). took truck home and noticed a ditinct pull/drift to the right. took back to dealer. they said steering wheel was off center and need an alignment. took the truck home still doing same thing. bring truck back. 3 days later i am informed they discovered a radial pull in front pasenger tire and would replace two tires. i siad i would prefer 4(which they did replace). take truck home and still doing same thing. bring back a 3rd time servic manager drives with me and agrees. they put it back on the alignment machine, says truck is spot dead on, and this is the way your truck drives. i disagree stating this is my 4th ram and have never had this before. said the best they could do was call in a chrysler engineer(could take 2 months). i took the truck to 3 different establishments including another dodge dealer and all 3 gave me wriiten documentation stating the truck drifts excessively. brought these to the dealer and was told i need to wait for the engineer. finally out of frustration i take the truck back stating i am concerned it is a safety issue and would like a loaner untill the situation is remedied. the general manager test drove with me and told me this is the way the truck drives and would not give me a loaner. am still waiting for the engineer. in my opinion this is a safety issue!! *cn
