| While driving and when brakes were applied they did not hold, pedal went all the way to the floor, consumer stated the vehicle coasted through a red light through a busy intersection, this was caused by a hole in the brake line, which was the result of the way the brake line was assembled.*ak. consumer stated the 4x4 did not work, the tire blew out, there was a water leak and the carpet had to be replaced twice, the rear window was replaced, the rear brakes never worked, the radio was inoperative, the hood light flickered while driving, and also vehicle experienced transmission problems.*jb | |||

| The set of 5 tires was purchased in march and had 6300 miles on them. the tire separated and blewout leaving the side wall intact and split from top of tire to rim. the seperation pattern is considerably noticable. this blow out caused extensive damage to side panel of truck, ripping out the sidewall plastic cover and mud flap. the sudden failure of this tire has made me very leary of driving with the others.*ak (tiresize: 245 75/r16) | |||

| These tires have had a vibration in them since day one, the dealer was unwilling to help me, and i recently (since the news hit) started sending requests to firestone to replace them with some other brand before i get hurt. i have copies of emails and form letter responses from them. they state that the only tires they are replacing are the 15 ones and mine do not apply. i just want new tires from them, before i get hurt or killed. my job requires a minimum of 120 high speed highway miles a day. i also do not have the money to replace them myself, and even if i did, it would be a total loss, as there is no resale value on anything they made.( dot number: unknown tire size: p265/75r16 ) | |||

| While traveling approximately 62 mph in a 1995, dodge, truck ram , and pulling a 27' trailer and boat, right/front firestone, steeltex r4s tire , size: p215/85r16, dot: unknown experienced a blowout in sidewall. blowout resulted in a crash which hospitalized consumers wife for 4 weeks, where back surgery was performed to repair spinal damage. no determination has been made as to the cause of blowout. tire was available for inspection. there were approximately 20,000 miles on tire when this occurred, and the tire was not original equipment for vehicle. *ak *jb | |||

| Pe00 48 ; she was traveling about 60mph on highway and heard a noise. she was able to pull over, and noticed that rear left tire tread separated from rim. but tire was still inflated. there were no injuries. tire was a goodyear, lt245/75r16m/s/ wrangler #at, #dot mk11ctov504. goodyear has agreed to replace tire. *ak | |||

| I have had at least 5 of these tires where the complete tread completely seperated from the tire. have photos, actual tire leftovers, and receipts for proof of purchase and mechanics pro-rate adjustments. out of all 6 tires originally purchased and the numerous pro-rated adjustments, only one remains in use and has reached a use of aprox. 50k miles. i realize now that i should have written about these problems as i encountered them, but it is not every day that one has loads of time to trouble shoot, find associations, and report findings. additionally i did not realize until recent news reports that these can be life threatening issues.( dot number: tire size: *235/85r16 ) | |||
