 The abs control unit on my 2005 dodge ram 2500 broke. i was alerted to this by a brake light and an abs light on the dashboard. after shutting off the engine, the module motor continues to run. the following part numbers are listed on the unit: p52121408ad tjzbk2824k0241.

 Tl*the contact owns a 2005 dodge ram 2500. the contact was driving approximately 5 mph into the driveway. there was pressure applied to brake pedal, followed by a no power response when suddenly, the vehicle crashed into the residence garage. there were no personal injuries. the failures occurred on twelve separate occasions without warning. the vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer on twelve times for the identical failures. the technician was able to locate the problem and a remedy. the vin was unavailable. the failure mileage was 1,000.

 Tl*the contact owns a 2005 dodge ram 2500. while pulling into the driveway at 5 mph, the steering wheel locked. the contact applied the brakes and the vehicle struck the concrete wall of his garage. the vehicle was towed to the mechanic and he stated that the brakes failed. the mechanic also stated that the power steering shaft was damaged and the belt was wrapped around the fan. the current and failure mileages were 36,693.

 I purchased a 2005 dodge ram 2500 3 months ago and only have 10,000 miles on the truck. on friday, november 11, 2005, i returned home and noticed that my brake lights remained after i exited the truck. i tried turning the lights on and off, and they remained on. i decided to drive to the maxwell chrysler dealer a few blocks away as i was afraid my battery would go dead. as i was proceeding down my street, i noticed the brake indicator light came on. i went to brake, and there was no brake pedal! it had fallen off. i made it to the dealership using my emergency brake. they said the clasp that holds the pedal had fallen off. it was not on the floor, so i don't know if it was broken, missing, etc. they replaced the clasp. i was horrified to think that i was supposed to have been on interstate i-35 towing my horses. please look into this asap. i would like to know if this is an isolated incident, or whether this could be a possible defect. *jb
