| Tl* the contact owns a 2006 dodge ram 2500. the contact was driving 78 mph when the vehicle abnormally accelerated. the contact turned the vehicle off and shifted into neutral and when the vehicle was restarted, it resumed normal operation. the contact stated the failure recurred three times and he was unable to locate any visible cause for the failure. on the fourth recurrence of the failure the contact was involved in a crash and the front fender was damaged. the vehicle was not taken to the dealer for the failure. the manufacturer was contacted and they advised him to have the vehicle diagnosed by the dealer. the failure mileage was 144,000 and the current mileage was 144,056. | |||

| Tl-the contact owns a 2006 dodge ram 2500. while driving 78 mph the vehicle unintendedly accelerated, he turned the vehicle off and place the vehicle in neutral. he restarted the vehicle and the vehicle started as normal. the contact stated he inspected the vehicle to see if anything caused the acceleration and saw nothing. the contact stated he had experienced the failure three times since march 25, 2011. on march 26, 2011 the vehicle accelerated again and there was damage done to the right front fender. the vehicle had not been taken to the dealer for the failure. he contacted the manufacturer and they advised him to have the vehicle checked by the dealer. the failure mileage was 144,000 and the current mileage was 144,056. vwb | |||

| Tl*the contact owns a 2006 dodge ram 2500. the contact stated that the accelerator pedal became stuck when it was engaged. the contact was only able to loosen the pedal by putting the vehicle in neutral. the first time the contact took the vehicle to the dealer they were told that they could not duplicate the failure. the second time the dealer diagnosed the failure and replaced the accelerator pedal because of a throttle malfunction. at the time of the complaint the vehicle was at the dealership being evaluated again. the failure mileage was unknown. the current mileage was 23,400. | |||

| Tl- the contact owns a 2006 dodge ram 2500. the contact stated the gas pedal sticks on the vehicle. when the pedal sticks, the contact can only get the pedal loose by putting the vehicle in neutral. the first time the contact took the vehicle to the dealer they were told they could not duplicate the failure. the second time the dealer stated they saw the failure and replaced the gas pedal because of a throttle malfunction. at the time of the complaint the vehicle was at the dealer and being evaluated again. the failure mileage was unknown, but the current mileage was 23,400.rl | |||

| 2006 dodge ram 2500, july 20, 2009, power control module failure on highway with cruise control at 70 mph. car would not stop, cruise would not disengage. depressed the brakes so hard that they smoked and burned. towed to dealer and power module replaced. is this not the toyota problem? saw 5 complaints here out of 81 that could be related to the same issue. | |||

| Tl*the contact owns a 2006 dodge ram. whenever the vehicle would idle, the rpm miles would also increase. the contact stated that after driving 35 miles per hour the accelerator pedal got stuck. the contact stated that in order to stop the vehicle she had to turn off the ignition. the contact also had the vehicle repaired several times and the vehicle continued to experience the failure. the failure mileage was 10,000. the current mileage was 46,700. | |||

| Tl*the contact owns a 2006 dodge ram 2500. the contact placed the gear shifter into reverse. there was a high engine idle, which led to unexpected acceleration. immediately, the brake pedal was depressed, but the vehicle failed to slow down. the driver steered to the right and crashed into a snow bank in order to slow the vehicle down. there were damages to the vehicle and the trailer. there were no injuries. the vehicle was driven from the scene and taken to an authorized dealer for diagnostic testing. the technician was unable to determine the cause of failure and the vehicle has not been repaired. the failure and current mileages were 37,890. updated 03-06-09 *bf updated 03/12/09.*jb | |||
