 Tl* the contact owns a 1995 dodge ram 3500. the contact stated that while driving approximately 30 mph, the vehicle stopped accelerating. the contact examined the vehicle and noticed that the quick connects on the transmission lines were melted. as a result, transmission fluid was leaking from the vehicle. the vehicle was not taken to have the failure diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure and the contact was informed that the vehicle was not included in the recall associated with nhtsa campaign id number 97v084000 (power train:automatic transmission:cooling unit and lines). the failure mileage was 139,000.

 Consumer was traveling uphill at approximately 65 mph when vehicle suddenly lost 5th gear, and began losing speed. consumer stated that there was a nut that held transmission in 5th gear, but this nut had fallen off. please provide any additional information/attachments.*ak

 Transmission began to fail at 60,000 miles, took to dealer said need to adjust bands, continued to slip, took back to deal, they said they adjusted bands, changed transmission fluid, and could not find a problem, after truck reach 77,000 miles, deal said i needed new transmission @ $5000.00. *ak

 There is a fitting that is made of plastic in the transmission cooling lines that melts, and causes a loss of transmission fluid. dealer had to replace cooling lines and fittings. *ak

 Im not sure if im in the right area or not but we have a 1995 dodge ram van b 3500 interior made by coachman r.v. we have had a vibration in the rear end we went on vacation in jan..and got stuck on the road the vibration got so bad we had to have the van towed to a town to have it looked at they found 1 of the gears in the pumpkin was bad. they fixed it and there was still a vibration sence then we have been stuck in az. know one seem to know what to do not even daimler chrysler which will not help us at all this van might be a 1995 but it only had 26,000 miles on it when we got it.we have been fighting with daimler chrysler over this for 3 months now and are sick and tired off it. what can we do? *ak
