| Tl*the contact owns a 2008 dodge ram 3500. while driving 60 mph, the contact was informed by other motorists that his vehicle was on fire. he then noticed flames in the cabin and the bed, in addition to the fuel tank. he pulled over and called the fire department. the highway patrol also arrived at the scene. the vehicle left a trail of fire on the highway due to the fuel leak. the vehicle was towed to a salvage yard. the insurance company was notified and stated that there was a shortage between the fuel pump and the fuel tank. the dealer wanted to investigate; however, they will not inform the contact or the insurance company what caused the fire. the passenger sustained minor burns to his hands, arms, and hair. a police report was filed. the failure and current mileages were 19,000. | |||

| I own a 2008 3500 diesel megacab dually . i was driving along i-70 in colorado at about the speed of 75-80 mph and had to step on the gas pedal all the way down to get around a semi-truck and as soon as i did this the gas pedal got stuck. i know it wasnt stuck to the floor-mat because i visually saw that it wasnt. i had to slip my shoe off and pull the gas pedal up with my toes due to the shoe not being able to get behind the pedal. by the time i managed to pull the gas pedal back my truck had sped up to about 110-115 mph.. this is the second time that this has happend to me. previouse to this incident about a week and a half earlier this happend to me in denver as i was be driving through the city. i thought it was the floor-mat then, so i ignored the fact that this had happend but this second time around i did look down to see if it was or not the floor-mat and it was not the floor mat.... i did not have the cruise control on at either time.. im going to try to contact chrysler and the dealer to try and see what they believe it might be.. odds are they will think im imagining things !! | |||
