 Tl-the contact owns a 2001 dodge ram quad cab. while driving approximately 45 mph the drivers side wheel studs broke off causing the rim and tire to come off. the failure caused damage to the fender, door and the bed of the truck. no police report was filed. the vehicle was towed to a local mechanic. the mechanic replaced the rotors, tie rod ends, a caliber ,track bar and wheel studs on the vehicle. the vehicle was taken to a body shop for the fender,the cab corner and the truck bed to be repaired. the failure happen again on december 13, 2010 the passenger side wheel studs broke off again causing damage to the rotor, tie rod end, track bar and wheel studs. the vehicle again was towed back to the same mechanic and he replaced the rotors, tie rod end, track bar, wheel studs and aligned the vehicle. the contact had not contacted the manufacture. the vin was unavailable. the failure mileage was 120,000 and the current mileage was 132,000. vwb

 Cornell futura, 9.50r16.5lt, dot#pjxl6acv524 light truck tire: tread separated from the core and crashed into the dodge bed, left rear, $3000.00 in damage to 2500 ram, tire remained inflated. other futura tires started to separate.*ak

 Dt the consumer put new tires on the vehicle on september 17,2005 when they took the wheels off and saw that the tires were wearing out on the inside , just on one tire, the left front tire. the tire had rubbed on the rim of the vehicle, consumer took the vehicle to the local dealer, they said it had a bad bearing on the left front of the vehicle, and they replaced the bearing. now , it was rubbing on the shock absorber mount and plate. it was doing the same thing again. the dealer said there should just be a certain type of tire on the vehicle. *ak
