| I'm having problems with the airbag system in my 2005 dodge ram 1500. my airbag light started going off any time i turned my steering wheel to the left. now, the light comes/stays on at any given moment. i had a mechanic run the test and was told that it's the driver's squibb circuit board. i started researching the issue and noticed the 2005 dodge ram 2500 & 3500 had a factory recall for the same issue, yet this same safety issue for the 1500 is not covered. *tr | |||

| My 2005 dodge ram quad cab hydroplaned on the interstate and struck a retaining wall almost head on. the entire left side front bumper from the very middle to the far left struck the wall flush. the truck bounced off and did a 540 and the engine died and i was stuck blocking three lanes of interstate traffic. i impacted the wall around 55 mph. the problem is that my airbags never deployed. neither the driver or passenger side air bags. i was lucky that i wasn't injured, but i feel there was a defect with the air bags not deploying. the impact was so hard on the bumper that it buckled the frame of my truck. *tr | |||

| Dt: the consumer's son was driving when vehicle swerved to miss a deer and it tipped over into a ditch while driving 30 mph. upon impact, the air bag did not deploy. the vehicle would not shut off until it was put into park. the consumer drove the vehicle back home. later it was taken to a body shop, which did not have diagnostic equipment. they said that there was hardly any transmission fluid. oil leaked through transmission tube under the hood. the manufacturer stated that air bags will deploy when driving forward. he told them that according to the vehicles computers it did not show it had been in an accident. the frame was dented, and there was an injury. *ak | |||
