Head stud broke on horizontal cylinder (silver finished ones seem to be more prone to this than black ones)causing oil to pour out directly onto exaust header and rear tire, high potential of fire and loss of vehicle control. this is a known and fairly common problem on three or four model years of this bike. company has a very inconsistent policy regarding repairs. bob nevola is the the contact person at ducati usa. ask him about steering head frame cracks while you're at it. *ak
