Defect SummaryThe end cap connecting the heat exchanger's core to the engine cooling system could rupture and allow hot coolant to escape into the passenger compartment.
Consequence SummaryThe coolant escaping into the passenger compartment could contact the driver's feet and injure the driver. also, steam from the heater liquid will cloud on the window surfaces and impair the driver's vision. in either case, failure of the heater core end cap could result in a vehicle accident.
Corrective SummaryA coolant temperature controlled heater core fluid bypass valve will be installed.

 Windshield fogs up when driving. coolant escapes from heater coil. also, there was a bulletin recall #607 on coolant temperature control bypass valve. contacted dealer, and dealer was not authorized by chrysler to fix vehicle. *ak the end cap connection the heat exchanger's core to the engine cooling system leaks hot coolant into the passenger compartment. *yh

 Replaced front brake rotors three times. also replaced 2 sets of real wheel bearings. in addition, gas gauge an dspeedometer odomete rfailed; heater core is leaking, and passenger's seat belts get stuck.

 There is a recall on the 1992 eagle premier heater core part. i called the chrysler service center and was told that my particular car, after giving my name and vin, was not included in the recall. however, may car has the same problem and is the same year as those recalled for the heater core problem. i am wondering why my car is not included in the recall and if not, should it be?
