I purchased my 1995 eagle vision from northtowne in amherst, ny, in 2001. eight months after i purchased it, the transmission went, i had another installed. i later learned that eagles were known for transmission failure-my transmission went again on 2/13/04 costing me $810, i would like to file a claim against the company as i feel the whole system is defective and fear i will be putting in another transmission within the next year as i have been doing. *jb

I noticed fluid leaking from steering pump area. low mileage car (well taken care of. when turning, i do not crank wheel all the way until it stops to keep pressure off seals in pump). i noticed fluid a few months ago but ignored it (not much leakage). when chrylser ovehauled my transmission 2 weeks ago, eventhough i forgot to mention to them, they did not see nor notify me of it. another tactic of the dealer waiting for it to become more serious (thus more costly) to repair. there's no way they could have missed it!! *ak

Car would hesitate at a stop sign. it did not shift into gears properly. after starting the car and putting it into gear it would not move. we didn't report this problem to the dealer when it was first noticed. in june we called the dealer who wanted $60 just to look at it. we took it to cottman who told us it needed a new transmission. we notified chrysler they covered all but $200 on the rebuilt transmission.their computer indicated that there was no problem found.shorthly after the transmition was replaced the car will not start at the first try, we have to change manually the gears and try again to start the car, once the car start running is ok until the engine is turned off, the next time we have to repeat the same procedures, in case of an emergency the car will no start inmediately.we have to let the car sit for a few minutes to repeat the same operation.

The transmission couldn't not be rebuilt. it had a crack in the housing. it cost me $2275.00 to have replaced. it has been failing for about a year. it would at times violently jerk the passengers forward when trying to shift upwards and was undependable in case fast accelleration was needed. it finally quit shifting up to 4th gear. the fuses tend to overheat for some unknown reason which has caused the windows not to work and some of the the interior instrument lights not to work. the brakes keep having problems. i can't get them fixed to my satisfaction. i didn't list them as a problem because there have been too many trips to get the brakes fixed to list in the form.

Transmission doesn't lock vehicle when park is engaged, causing vehicle to roll.
02/10/199910/01/1995
Besides the transmission failing, the crankcase started to leak and the air-flow actautor failed. all of this happened within a 30 day period. chrysler was no help at all on the transmission problem, and was downright rude. after owning 4 chrysler vehicles in my life, i'll never purchase another product from them again. my transmission was serviced by dealers and my car is kept in excellent condition.

Transmission was completely rebuilt under ext. warranty coverage. within two days, vehicle began leaking transmission fluid from near radiator. returned to repairing dealer service [kennedy chrysler - not o'brien chrysler dealership] and was informed that transmission cooling system lines were cracked and leaking and must be replaced. this service was not covered under ext. warranty even though leak apparently was spawned by transmission repair [transmission was removed from vehicle to repair]. dealer service informed me that they see many eagle visions with this problem, and it should probably be reported for a recall.

Dt*: the contact stated the shifter arm was difficult to shift from the park position to drive or reverse whenever the vehicle was started. transmission fluid was added every week or two, which seemed to make shifting easier. the air conditioner failed and an independent mechanic determined the coil was flat and needed to be replaced. the manufacturer was notified.

'recall campaign' received after 7 transmission have been installed in 1995 eagle vision. *bf the dealer suggested that nothing was wrong with the shifting but something was wrong with the transmission. the vehicle continued to exhibit movement/non movement at times. the vehicle went into reverse with no occupants in the vehicle and the gear indicator remained in the park position. the consumer requested funds in the amount of the original cost of the vehicle. *sc on one of the several occasions, the consumer was pinned between the car and the garage door when the vehicle went into reverse with no occupants in the vehicle and the gear indicator was still in park. *jb
