| Defect Summary | Eldorado national is recalling 66 my 2009 aero elite and aerotech buses equipped with k410 air conditioning condenser assemblies supplied by carrier. the k410 unit is installed on the top of a bus and its cover may not be properly fastened because of a mechanical interference. | |||||||||||||||

| Defect Summary | Eldorado national - kansas (eldorado) is recalling certain model year 2007 through 2011 aerotech, aerolite, aero elite, and transtech buses equipped with braun century-2 and vista-2 wheelchair lifts. over time, and with frequent use, the roll stop latches on the outer barrier may become bent or misaligned. | |||||||||||||||

| Defect Summary | Eldorado national is recalling certain model year 2008-2010 aero elite, aerolite, aerotech, transtech, and versa shuttle motorhomes equipped with certain ricon s series and k series l-model wheelchair lifts. the wheelchair lifts contain defective software that controls the lift up function, if the switch is released before the floor level limit switch is activated, the lift may continue its upward travel for approximately 1 second before stopping. the continued upward travel may overrun the floor level cut off point. | |||||||||||||||
| Consequence Summary | When the platform overruns the vehicle floor level and stops at an angle from 15-20 degrees, it is possible for a person in a wheelchair to tip over and for someone standing on the platform to fall, possibly resulting in injuries. | |||||||||||||||

| Defect Summary | Eldorado national is recalling certain model year 2008-2010 aero elite, aerolite, aerotech, transtech, and versa shuttle motorhomes fitted with ricon public use lifts. the wheelchair lifts were to be equipped with a restraint buckle that has an interlock feature designed to prevent the lift from operating if the buckle is not latched. in the recalled motorhomes, however, the interlock feature may not operate properly and the lift may operate even when the buckle is not latched. | |||||||||||||||

| The fuel system installed on cummins 5.9l natural gas engines easily fouls with compressor carry over oil and the vehicle stalls, sputters, and can not obtain minimum road speed. buses so equipped with this engine have stalled repeatedly in dangerous intersections and other hazardous areas. cummins corporation has denied any responsibility for warranty repairs or correction of this defect. this problem is wide spread in the transit industry running these alternate fueled engines. in this time when climate change and going green is the policy of the federal government we believe that it is time cummins corporation stepped forward and created a natural gas fuel system that is capable of operating in a real world situation. our oil carry over situation has been reviewed by the engineers at parker- hannifin filtration and they determined that we are supplying our vehicles with the cleanest possible fuel obtainable. this makes cummins corporation 's position all the more objectionable. we want the federal government to force cummins corporation to repair the existing defects at their own cost and all new engines shall be capable of using fuels manufactured in real world situations. we have been experiencing this defect since the 1999 model year through our most current 2009 engines.
