Defect Summary | On certain motor home chassis equipped with a caterpillar c15 engine in a fleetwood heritage motor home, the variable valve actuation (vva) oil line may wear causing an oil leak. | |||||||||||||||

Defect Summary | Fleetwood is recalling 70,101 my 2003-2007 southwind, pace arrow, bounder, flair, storm, fiesta, terra gas class a motor homes; bounder, discovery, providence, excursion, expedition, revolution, american eagle, american heritage, american tradition diesel class a motor homes; jamboree tioga class c motor homes; and prowler, wilderness, terry, mallard, pioneer, pride and triumph conventional and fifth wheel travel trailers equipped with a two-door refrigerators manufactured by the dometic corporation. the refrigerator may have a defect in the boiler tube. pressurized coolant solution could be released into an area where an ignition source (gas flame) is present. | |||||||||||||||

Corrective Summary | Fleetwood is working with dometic to repair these refrigerators (please see 08e032). dometic will repair these refrigerators by installing a secondary burn housing, a thermal fuse, and a melt fuse free of charge. dometic has retained stericycle inc. to manage this campaign. stericycle will assist the owner in locating dealerships or service centers and will provide assistance with scheduling of appointments. owners may contact dometic/stericycle at 1-888-446-5157 or fleetwood at 1-800-322-8216. | |||||||||||||||

Submission of defective 2006 american heritage coach purchased. *ts on three occasions the electrical system failed causing the lights to go out on the coach. on one occasion the only way the owners could get the coach back to the campground was for their son to sit on the front dash shining a flashlight so they could see the road. the consumer rescinded the contract and demanded full refund because the coach did not conform to the requirements of the contract. the navigation system had the incorrect software and would not function. a faulty solenoid caused the coach not to crank. the consumer found three water leaks, two in the front and one on the driver's side near the table. the air bag touchtone went off. the consumer was able to pull over and reset it. the headlight failed during a rain storm. the consumer was able to replace a fuse to get them to function. two rows of interior light blew out while the consumer was using the rotisserie. the rotisserie continued to work but the light would not come back on. the leveling system malfunctioned and started beeping constantly. one rear tire was out of round. the generator surged. the steering wheel periodically locked in place and would not move. the screen door latch needed to be adjusted. *nm | |||
