I have a 1999 jamboree rv(class c). i have had several incidents with flat tires on the inside rear tire. these flats have resulted in severe damage to the coach. in the past 18 months we have had five flat tires on the inside rear. i have installed tire inflators that make checking the pressure and maintaining the pressure easier (thinking this was the problem). i check this prior to every use. we use the coach often and usually stay within a 80 mile radius. i have gone on three trips when the milage has exceeded 250 miles one way. it is on these trips that i have the problems. a few weeks ago on a trip to pheniox az. i had three flats, one on the way and two on the way back. the tire blows and the tread comes off. the whipping of the tread and the violent shaking has destroyed our rv. i contacted the sales person at the dealership who told me that the jamboree has a weight and balance and/or suspension problem. the result of this defect is the flat tires. he suggested i contact jamboree who tells me that they are not aware of any problem with this model and the dealer says it's not there responsibility.*ak

On 7/11/2011 around 12:35 pm my 1999 fleetwood jamboree 29l motorhome on a ford e450 chassis was being driven on the highway from ear falls ontario canada to vermillion bay ontario canada. the motorhome was being driven at 50mph on a good road surface. heard a loud pop like a .22 calibre pistol shot and then vibrations from the passenger rear of the motor home. slowed down and stopped at a pulp check area within a 100yds of the explosion. found the inner rear passenger side tire had separated tread while the rest of the tire was still intact but flat. the mileage on the motorhome is 14,000 and is otherwise in good condition. the tire was showing only minor tread wear after only 14,000 miles. changed the spare and pumped both tires to 90psi. the spare that was put in is a firestone steeltex radial r4s lt225/75r16 load range e. am assuming that this is the same as the one that blew up

We have experienced vibration problems at various speeds since the day we purchased the unit. despite my requests of fleetwood and ford to replace the tires they would only replace the rims. that helped but a slight vibration remained. we tolerated it for over two years. in september, 2001, while traveling 70 mph on an interstate, the inside left rear tire tread separated. firestone replace the tire at no cost to me. on november 22, despite the fact that i had the tires inspected and properly inflated by a firestone dealer prior to leaving, while traveling 70 mph on the turnpike, the inside right rear tread separated. i would not trust the remaining tires to get me home and had all seven tires replaced with another brand at my cost at a dealer 200 miles f rom my home. the vibration we have had for two years is gone! those firestone original equipment tires were obviously defective from the start, and i believe that i should be reimbursed for the cost of the new tires by either fleetwood, ford, or firestone.*ak (tiresize: lt225r75/1)
