| Tire blowed out on driver side - front on intrrstate. total tire peeled just like firestone tire. the tire was torn up down to the rim. when i took it for repair when it first happen, the dealter i carried it to told me not to get it fix, take it back where i purchased it because it was a bad defect in the tire. tires don't just peel like that. this tire peeled just like a recap trearing up the rim, messing up the traction control and anti-lock brake syatem, sctrached up the fender, tore the plastic underneath surrounding tire, had wires hanging down, broke the headlight and tore up the side skirt on the car. i carried it back where i got it from and when the manager came to look at the tire, he stated that the tire shouldn't have torn up like that. the tire had cuts all over it,. i took pictures of my car and the tire. it was unbelievable for me to see a tire that torn up. there was a lot sound and the steel belt was torn up like strings. the top peeling of the tire was left in the road. it threw me in the other lane on to the side of the road. i hurt my back and got shook up real bad. i;m sstill having nightmares because their was an 18 wheeler right behind me. it was god's will he didn't hit me. they said they would fix my car and purchase another tire, but what about my pain and suffering and the fact that i can't drive my car because there's a scrubbing sound and the abs light, nor traction light will go off. | My ford 95 se 4-door contour, came with p205/60rx15t bsw tires. i replace the original front tires, which were (firestone f-hawk gta bw-wth same, after 35 thousand miles. after an additional 15 thousnand, i replaced the original rear tires with another brand name-rotating the newer firestones to the rear of the car. at 56 thousand miles the left rear tire blows out, and the tire shop said that bubbles on the inner sidewall prevented the tire from being repaired. two days later the left rear tire blows, and i am left with-out a spare tire, which is when i replace the tires that were 30.5 thousand miles previously: hogan tire & auto service centers, waltham massuachusetts, and authorized firestone dealer. i now have missmatched tires, on my car as a result of preliminary tire wear and breakdown. i would like a firestone dealer to provide me with four new tires, which to resolve the my tire difficulties. cordially glenn chesnut. *ak | |||

| Three of these tires failed with tread separation and were replaced. i just noted that these tires were made at firestone's decatur plant which produced the recalled wilderness tires. it seems their problems may be wider than just the explorer issue.*ak | |||
