Defect SummaryCertain aftermarket brake hydraulic master cylinders sold as replacement brake cylinders for certain ford, daimlerchrysler, and jeep passenger vehicles. these brake cylinders were sold under the brand names of napa, raybestos, aimco, ac delco, carquest, bendix, and wagner. only products that were manufactured from july 27, 2005 through january 17, 2006 (date codes 0529 through 0602) are subject to this recall. when subject to very cold temperatures, an internal seal in the master cylinder could lose flexibility and may cause brake fluid to leak.

Lost control of the car. tried to overcorrect the car and turned the wheel too hard, the brakes locked and i lost control of the car and rolled it on its roof. there was sufficient frontal impact that the airbags should have been deployed, but didn't. also, it was a new car, so the brakes should not have locked.

Every time i take my car in for maintenance they tell me there is a list of recalls on it so i took it to the local dealer and was told there were none but my car has the problems that are listed on their recall,so i call the dealer and was told there were recalls but the time had lapsed for me to get it fix,i never recieved a recall notice from the dealer and because i was not the orignal owner and they had no service records on the car.but they should still have to fix the recalls for safety reasons.i have already paid to have brakes and burnt valves in a motor that is 4 years old and has only 67,000 miles. *ak
