| On wednesday, april 11, 2001 at approximately 2:15 pm cdt, a firestone passenger car tire ft70c flattened and disintegrated at 70+ mph on interstate 40 eastbound mile marker 262. the vehicle was a 1993 ford crown victoria. the tire was on the right front. i was able to keep control and get to the side of the road without further incident.*aik (dot number: el34 tiresize: p215/70r15) | |||

| These tires are purportedly good for 3 years or 70,000 miles. they are also suppose to be good up to 112 mph. however, when the previous owner learned of our wreck , he provided me with receipts which showed that two other tires from the original four failed at 153,240 miles and 143,911 miles. he originally bought them at 106562 miles. these tires are touted as good for 70,000 miles and they are going to get someone killed. marvin morris at 281-579-2174 witnessed the tire shredding as did kawal patel at 281-575-4360 (also 281-693-2353).*ak (dot number: 0b34pt0070 tiresize: 215/70r15) | |||
