I bought ford victoria crown model 2005 from an individual on dec. 2009. it was police car. after i bought the car within a month time i hit another vechile. i lost control and the break doesn't work. it doesn't stop by hiting once. it was amazining hit and back hit and back again and again. my car or even the other car doesn't have any body damage and after 1 hour i start driving and on my way home the same thing happen. i get out of the road but no accident. i took to the garage and i paid $800.00 for the maintainance. i used the car for taxi cab. again i have another problem with this car. i had a customer to the airport and before i get there a lot of smoke coming out and i stop the car in the airport garage. this time ti became completely out of service and i take with towing truck and gave to the garage. the result as the mechanic test said the transmission is totlally out of use and need another one. again two months back while driving i lost control on the break and stop out of the road. recently on sunday dec. 19, 2011 major accident happened. while driving can't control the break and accelerated the gas itself. so, the can hit the fence on the road and get body damage. i take to the garage with a towing truck and when the mechanic tested he can't find anything even he make a road test.i get advice this vechile is dengerous if i start driving . i can submit all my expence which i paid for the maintenace if possible. thanks to a friend who gave me information to check online if this vechicle model is recall
SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC - PEDALS AND LINKAGES

While making a turn the 2005 crown victoria suddenly accelerated, even though the driver had his foot on the brake. there is a possibility the brake and accelerator pedals are too close together, allowing the driver to apply both pedals at once. *jb

During normal braking, on 2 separate occasions, my father and i both experienced unintended acceleration while braking. this was caused by the fact that the accelerator pedal on our rented ford crown victoria is too close to, and at the same level as, the brake pedal, causing both pedals to easily be pressed at the same time. excessive force on the brake pedal was the only action possible to prevent accidents in both cases.
SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC - SWITCHES - BRAKE LIGHT

Re: rear brake lights with light to moderate braking when starting to push brake pedal the rear lights come on. when you reach a point that you ease up on the pedal pressure, (even so slight that you don't feel the pedal move), the brake lights go off. the vehicle is actually still braking. if you proceed to apply pressure again the brake lights come back on and once again as soon as you ease up on pedal pressure the lights go off. i found myself sitting at stop signs, red lights, even in the middle of the road waiting to turn left with my foot on the brake, but no rear brake lights on. a new brake light switch was installed with no change. i checked a one year newer vehicle, same make and model, and it was doing the same thing. i called a local ford dealer and he never heard of the problem. he checked with one of their similar vehicles on the lot and discovered the same problem. he called a factory rep who knew nothing of the problem. that's all the further it went.*jb
