Tl- the contact owns a 2005 ford crown victoria. as he is traveling, oncoming vehicles are blinking their headlights at him because he has no headlights on, it has being going on and off for about three months, the problem is intermittently. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, a diagnostic test was done and they found the headlight switch had no power, so a new switch was put in. the second time they replaced the multi-function switch, the dealer was called and they told the mechanic to check the lighting control module. at this time the vehicle has not been repaired because it will cost around 600.00 plus the labor and he's is hoping that ford will issue a recall. the manufacturer has not been called either. the failure mileage was 61,440 and the current mileage was 64,400....dwh.

2005 ford crown vic approx 85,000 miles, climate control vent duct controller send all vent functions through defrost vents (a/c, floor, vent, etc). problem seems to shift with acceleration/deceleration. for example, when using a/c, if accelerating the cool air blows through the defrost vents and not the regular a/c vents. but when braking, the vent will switch down to the a/c ducts. *tr
