I began to hear a roaring noise in the rear while driving. the dealer said that it was the rear hub, bearings , and attachment arm and needed to be replaced that it could lead to a wheel coming off , a safety issue. i was told ford knew there was a problem with these parts and is refered to as of customer interest but was not a recall. if ford knows of the defective part why are they not issueing a recall? this repair cost me $800. more importantly if this is a safety issue ford should tell its customers and pay for replacement parts.

Tl*the contact owns a 2007 ford edge. when the contact pulled into his driveway, the tire pressure light illuminated. while checking the tire, the rim split in half. the dealer stated that the failure was caused by metal fatigue and they could warranty one rim, but not both. the current mileage was 20,500 and failure mileage was 20,450.
