| As i was coming out of work to go to lunch i walked up to the car and saw all sorts of glass on the ground and then looked up and saw that my rear window had blown out. the rubber that holds the window was on the outside of the car. i had a police officer come out and look at it and he determined that it was not vandalism of any type. it was a bright sunny day and about 28 degrees. it was parked in the parking lot and it just blew out. i am grateful for that because i drive quite a ways to work on a very busy road and if that had happened while i was driving it may of caused a serve accident. | |||

| Over the past several months, my gas pedal has been sticking when trying to accelerate. it began in may 2012 and has been getting progressively worse. i thought it might have something to do with cold weather, but it has occurred at various times of the day as well as temperatures at throughout spring, summer and fall. i am forced to push hard on the accelerator when it sticks, which causes my vehicle to lunge forward. it usually sticks when i have completely stopped, but has often gotten stuck when accelerating after coming out of a curve i have slowed down to go through. it is a dangerous problem that seems to have occurred with several ford escapes in the past. | |||

| Pulled away after a stop sign and reach a speed of about 35 - 40 miles an hour when the engive just shut down. there was no warning and i was fortunate that i was able to pull off the road safely. after the engine cooled down i was able to limp home. the next day i took it into the local ford dealer and was told the mecs cooling pump and fans had failed. i cannot image what would have happened if i had been on a freeway when this happened. this is a very dangerous defect with the ford hybrid model. to make matters worse, ford says i am 400 miles past my warranty coverage and it would cost me over $1,200 to fix. | |||

| I was parked on the side of the road,got out of my vehicle,when i turned around my vehicle was heading toward me tried to stop it it ran me over and then hit a tree ,i received injury to my legs,also had to have my car fixed on the left front end.i would like to have ford look into this complaint,also i feel i should be reimbersed,for my injuries and the cost for me to fix this vehicle. | |||

| 2007 escape xls developed trouble with accelerator pedal in february,2009. pedal would stick requiring excessive pressure to depress. still under warranty at 33205 miles. taken to ford dealership where concern verified by groove detected in throttle body. throttle body replaced and problem resolved until now. as of september, 2010 same trouble has developed. | |||

| I have a 2007 ford escape. i took it to the car was and my abs lights and 4wd lights came on. i looked online and found several complaints of tone rings (abs rings) being cracked. sure enough my front left tone ring is cracked. i believe it happen on the conveyor at the car was. still this is a common problem, even ford dealers (two of them) agree. why isn't this a recall? ford is fixing it for $300 | |||

| Tone ring failure on passenger side front axle. when the ring fails you lose abs and traction control. failure at 46000 miles. two weeks later tone ring failure on driver side front axle. the axle must be replaced to repair the tone ring. the repair cost 250.00 per axle..driving with the abs system not working properly can be dangerous, and therefore the axles must be replaced..i believe these rings are designed and manufactured poorly... | |||
