My ford escape is a 2009, 3 year old car with regular maintenance checks. on july 12th, i opened and closed the driver door and the window slid down. once taken to get diagnosed, i was told the regular cable had gone out. i had it fixed and was on my way. on july 16th, just 4 days after, i was picking up dry cleaning, i put clothes in the back seat, and once the door was closed, same thing happened, window slowly slid down. no opening/closing windows to provoke it. i was told once again it was the regulator cable and needed to be replaced. both problems exactly the same, within 4 days of each other. all mechanics and service reps told me it was very unusual that the regulator go out on such a new car. called ford corporate and was unable to get assistance to pay for this defect. how can a 3 year old car with no extreme use of the power windows be capable of such problems? the car is defective and ford should've paid for the repair. *tr
