| Defect Summary | Marathon is recalling certain seat covers, brand superhides with part numbers 593, 594, 578, 960, 228, 228-09, 267-08, 333, 625, and 630, sold for use as aftermarket equipment for various passenger vehicles. these seat covers are made of heavier thread and are not compatible with seats containing side airbags. the heavier seat cover could interfere with full deployment of the airbag in the event of a crash. | |||||||||||||||

| I got a flat tire on the rear right side of a rented 2010 ford escape. the enclosed jack is unable to raise the vehicle high enough to allow removal of the flat tire and installation of the spare tire. this was the case even after i placed the jack on a 2 inch board to prop it up. i was fortunate to be within phone contact of a aaa service station so that the tires could be exchanged using a large professional jack. this could have been a serious issue on a country road in the middle of the winter. *tr | |||
