We were driving in our 2004 ford excursion on a 4 lane road with no other vehicles in sight. the back window exploded, almost causing us to run off the road. when we stopped and looked at the vehicle there were no holes in the window, it was all hanging to the tint in a million pieces. no object struck the window. when we took the vehicle to the dealer they stated that it would not be warranted because they could not tell if it was a defect or not, so it would be up to us to pay for it. i asked about the problem with the ford excursion back windows shattering since this is also one of their suv's. they denied any knowledge of problems with windows shattering. yet, there was a recall in 2002. as of yet the vehicle has not been repaired. *jb | |||
