| Defect Summary | Certain aftermarket fuel filters sold under the purolator brand name, p/n f65277, shipped from january 16 through june 2, 2006, for use on the above listed passenger vehicles. due to incorrect design, the quick connectors may not fully seat with the tube interface, even though the person making the connection may believe that the quick connector is fully attached. | |||||||||||||||

| I was doing a left turn on a traffic light in my ford expedition 2000 08/16/2010 and the truck just died and the car behind me almost crash because i don't have control of the truck any more . and the reason i concern is because this happen every time the truck have a 1/4 tank of fuel and i take the truck for service to the dealer and run a diagnosis and they cannot find any thing ...... but i think is a dissing issue in the position of the fuel pump in the tank any ways i am not a mechanic; i just concern about safety about the person behind me was hurt | |||

| Problems with headlights blowing out, replaced bulb, still no high beam. lights completely went out one night. had to have family member follow me home. battery detached to get lights inside off. lights originally went off when i plugged my cell phone in for charging; something that i have always done in my prior vehicles. vehicle cutting off, shop states that it is due to problem with emission. ac runs hot when vehicle keep turning off. vehicle acceleration is bad. vehicle even when running on interstate appear to be having difficulty maintaining speed, appears to be wanting to cut off. vehicle cuts off in middle of traffic for no particular reason. started putting premium gas, but gas smells are bad when i run vehicle in garage to warm up. shop thinks that once charge ac may improve. *la | |||

| Tl*the contact owns a 2000 ford expedition. the contact stated that his fuel tank was leaking and the check engine indicator illuminated. the dealer stated that the fuel vapor recovery system was not operating properly. after testing the vehicle, the dealer discovered that the fuel tank was warped and fuel was leaking from the top. there is no recall on the fuel tank and the repair would cost $2,000. the contact was unsure whether or not he could repair the failure. the failure mileage was 78,253. updated 12/02/08. *lj updated 12/03/08. *jb | |||

| Dixie donelson had only purchased her ford expedition the month prior (early june), and was just underway for a trip to visit her daughter in colorado. the original police report documents her losing control of her vehicle within the first 40 minutes of her trip. further observations of the crash site have revealed tread remnants of new firestone suv tires. however, the expedition caught fire and all remaining tires burned to the extent of not being identifiable. dixie had told her duaghter she had new firestone tires, but we have had little success in determining the actual tire model.( dot number: tire size: (unknown) ) | |||
