Tl*the contact owns a 2004 ford expedition. the contact noticed a vertical crack straight down the middle of the rear tailgate window. she took the vehicle to the ford dealer and her insurance adjuster stated that it was not covered under the insurance because it was a manufacturer defect that occurs very often. ford stated that they would not cover the vehicle because it was not under warranty and there was no recall. the contact researched the failure and found numerous complaints on the vehicle. she believes that the issue should be recalled. the vehicle has not yet been repaired and is currently parked at her home. the current and failure mileages were 140,000.
