The paint on the rear hatch is bubbling, ford states they do not have a issue. the same thing happened on my 2004 expedition. this should not happen to a 2 year old vehicle. after researching online the problem seems very widespread. they will not give me a answer as to why this could happen on such a new vehicle, only send me a form letter response.

The 2010 ford expedition was parked in a driveway not on an incline. while in park it rolled backwards across a street and crashed into a tree. after the incident it was determined that with the engine turned off and the key removed the car could be put into any gear. it was further determined that the key could be removed with the engine off and the car in drive or any other gear.

There was no incidents that led up to the event. was driving down the road and went to apply the brakes when the vehicle began to vibrate and hesitated in stoppoing. had the vehicle in the shop on march 14, 2011 and the psds and brakes system was at 100%. then took thr vehicle back into the shop on march 24, 2011. after the vehicle was hard t get stopped and vibrated. upon inspection the brake pads had crystalized and melted the rotors. there was no warning that the brake system was failing. i own a 2010 ford expedition el. this is the 2nd 2010 ford expedition el that i have owned with problems. ford motor company's stance is that they are replacing the brake pads and rotors under warranty, however they can not tell me what caused this, and they are not willing to get an engineer involved. i have went as far as i can with customer service reagrding this safety issue.
