While driving on the highway at a speed of 55-65. i thought i was shot at causing me to be distracted from my driving. when i pulled over to see if i was shot or if something hit my car i noticed my left hand rear window was down in the door. this occured yesterday 9/27/10. when i returned home i pulled off the panel and found that the window regulator in my 2005 ford f150 was not working. after inquiring about repairing this i noticed that this problem with ford's window regulators is an ongoing issue and that there is a number of complaints by patrons replacing up to four windows in one vehicle. this is certainly a safety issue and an insurance issue regarding accidents and theft of vehicle and property. these windows fall at any given time while parked or driving. this issue needs to be investigated for sure! when i thought i was shot at it scared me so bad especially in these times when you have shooters out there on the freeways and highways. these car manufactures are using faulty parts to these regulators for the windows and warranties and will not cover them as the parts are not warranted. i can't imagine someone getting killed or in an accident over a small plastic part in a window regulator. please address this situation. a total recall of these window regulators has to be addressed.

Passenger window in my 2005 ford f-150 fell inside the door creating a loud bang while driving. caused me to junp and pull steering wheel to one side nealry cuasing an accident. investigation led to a broken plastic clip in the door that released the cable that holds the window in the up (or down position). i have seen numerous complaints about this event. ford has not recalled the problem as of this date.

Easy access into ford trucks having plastic door handles and back plates. while the break in is not a direct safety issue, it could potentially be. it takes up valuable police resources investigating these crimes, which may be needed elsewhere. the thief has the potential to remove insurance cards, registrations, etc. containing personal information that are generally stored in glove boxes. there should be a reasonable amount of security that one can expect while in or away from a vehicle. the door handle and back plate design are faulty and allow for easy, rapid entry into the vehicle. *tr

Dt*: the contact stated the vehicle's factory key was defective and does not start the vehicle. the vehicle included 3 keys; 2 good and 1 defective. any time a good key was used to lock the door, the defective key does not work at all when attempting to start the vehicle. the defective key worked if it used to lock the door before starting up. the vehicle was taken to a dealer, who programmed another key, but the problem persisted. the vehicle was brought back to the dealer who expressed that another key could not be reprogrammed because of the way the vehicle was manufactured. the manufacturer was contacted three times and suggested that the vehicle be taken to another dealer. the other dealer could not duplicate the problem, and offered no resolution.

My paint job was defective and thin, my windshield was not sealed properly, there are ticking noises from under the dashboard, the front end is too heavy for the added weight to the truck, the transmission stalls the truck when it rolls backwards in drive, the truck shakes at high speeds and has excessive tire wear, which is the only thing that ford has all but admitted to by extending the excessive tire wear/ride harshness warranty from 1yr/12,000 miles to 3yrs/36,000 miles. have you ever heard of a car company giving away something unless there was a serious problem with this vehicle. *nm
