| Seat belt latches rusting, center seat belt (small latch for crossover) came apart and is no longer usable. because the latches are rusting it is hard to secure the seatbelt. | |||

| Vehicle is an 05 ford f150 fx4 crew cab. driver's seatbelt unlatching while driving. it happens about every other day of driving everyday. sometimes it happens on a sudden brake, bumps, or sudden acceleration. something in the seatbelt latch is not holding the buckle good. if a crash occurs, driver will be ejected from the vehicle eventhough driver is buckled up. *tr | |||

| My truck has 56k on it bought it used with 35k on it when it starts runs with high idle and the top end ticks really bad the ticking does not go away at all speeds at a stop light it sounds like a diesel tic tic tic sounds like a lifter is stuck. i put lucas in it to try to make it go away then i changed the oil ran about two weeks with no difference and changed it again and no change called ford dealer they couldn't help they said i would have take it in and get charged $165. then i changed the spark plugs maybe a fouled plug that wasn't it there goes 120 bucks a couple of weeks ago my wife was driving on the freeway and the drivers side window falls the window regulator broke $140 replaced that already. the passenger seat belt locks up sometimes now to the front the steering wheel shakes really bad when you apply the brakes turned the rotors at napa $20 new brake pads $90 at kragens balanced tires free i work at a tire shop shaking went away for about three days 350 miles later the shaking is back with a vengeance checked the balancing on the tires they were good rotors are out of shape again still on there now and the shaking is getting worse i cant afford them right now so they will stay there hooked up the snap on ehtos computer to it and registers that two sensors have an open circuit but no explanation for top end noise injectors might be bad. *tr | |||

| Everytime i hit the brakes, the passenger seat belt never holds. person in the seat always has to be ready when i brake, either hard or soft. seat belt not doing its work, not locking, not holding. happens countless times. took in to the dealer, they say nothings wrong, but if i really have to hit brakes one day, someone's going to get hurt. *jb | |||

| Dt*: the contact stated while applying the brakes in emergency situations, the front seat belts do not lock. the seat belts retracted, but do not hold the passengers in the seat. the seat belts leave enough webbing to where the passengers could impact the dashboard. the vehicle was taken to the local dealer for inspection. the dealer replaced the seat belts with new ones; however the new seat belts have the same problem. | |||

| Dt: the contact stated while traveling on the highway going at 55 mph the vehicle hit something in the middle of the highway with the left front tire. the brakes were applied but they did not work. the consumer then lost control of the vehicle. the vehicle traveled into the median and collided with the retaining wall. this was a frontal impact. the seat belts failed to properly restrain the consumer and the air bags failed to deploy which resulted in injuries to the occupant. the vehicle was taken to an independent repair shop a couple of weeks prior to the accident for an abs problem. they were unable to duplicate the problem with the brakes. *ak updated 1/25/2006. *nm | |||

| Dt: the contact stated the front seat belts did not lock during heavy braking. he tested the vehicle at 30, 50, and 70 mph by slamming on the brakes hard enough for the tires to squeal. the seat belts never locked . this caused one injury to the passenger. she slammed into the dashboard and injured her wrist and back. the vehicle was taken to the dealership, and they stated the seat belts were acting as intended. *ak updated 01/19/06. *jb | |||
